SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Read the instructions for use carefully before
using your appliance for the first time: the
manufacturer does not accept responsibility for
use that does not comply with the instructions.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• This appliance shall not be used by children.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children.
• This appliance may be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or whose experience or knowledge is not
sufficient, in condition that they are supervised
or have received instructions to use the appliance
safely and understand the potential dangers.
• Children should not use the appliance as a toy.
• This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are aged from 8 years and above and

supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of
reach of children aged less than 8 years.
• Your appliance was designed for domestic use
only. It is not intended to be used in the following
cases, which are not covered by the guarantee.
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
• Never fill the appliance past the maximum
water level mark, nor below the 0.5l minimum
water level mark.
• If the appliance is too full, some water may spray
out.
• Never open the lid when the water is boiling.
• Your appliance should only be used with its lid
locked, with the base and the anti-scale filter
supplied.
• Never immerse the appliance, its base or the
power cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
• Never use the appliance if the power cord or the
plug are damaged. If the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.

• WARNING: Be careful to avoid any spillage on
the connector during cleaning, filling or pouring.
• Always follow the cleaning instruction to clean
your appliance;
– Unplug the appliance.
– Do not clean the appliance while hot.
– Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
– Never immerse the appliance in water or put it
under running water.
• WARNING: Risks of injuries if you don’t use this
appliance correctly.
• Only use your kettle for boiling drinking water.
• WARNING: The heating element surface is
subjected to residual heat after use.
• Your appliance is intended for domestic use inside
the home only at an altitude below 4000 m.
• For your safety, this appliance conforms to
applicable standards and regulations :(Low
Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic compatibility,
Environment, Materials in contact with food.).
• This product has been designed for domestic
use only. Any commercial use, inappropriate use
or failure to comply with the instructions, the
manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the
guarantee will not apply.
• Only use your kettle for boiling drinking water.
• Only plug the appliance into an earthed mains
socket, or into an electrical extension lead with
an integrated earth connection. Check that

the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the
appliance corresponds to that of the mains
voltage. You are advised not to use a multiple
adapter plug.
• Do not use the kettle when you have wet hands
or bare feet.
• Take care not to place the kettle and its base on a
hot surface, such as a hot plate, or to use it near a
naked flame.
• Immediately remove the mains plug if you notice
that the kettle is not operating correctly.
• Do not pull on the power cord to remove the
mains plug.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of
a table or work surface in order to prevent the
appliance from falling.
• Always remain vigilant when the appliance is on,
and in particular be careful of the steam coming
out of the spout, which is very hot.
• Also be careful as the body of stainless steel
kettles becomes very hot during operation. Only
touch the handle of the kettle.
• Never touch the filter or the lid when the water is
boiling.
• Never move the kettle when it is in operation.
• Emptying of the tea maker glass carafe must only
be done once the accessories are removed.
• Use thermal protective gloves for removal of the
accessories after use, they are very hot.

• Only make the recommended recipes, there is risk
of overflow with other recipes.
• Heat only water directly in tea maker glass body,
according to appliance programs.
• Use of accessories out of the product or for other
purpose is prohibited.
• After heating cycle, prevent temperature shocks
between glass parts and cold water.
• Regular maintenance is necessary (descaling,
cleaning) to limit colouring related to tea, coffee
etc.
• Do not use anymore glass parts if any mechanical
shock has been made on it or if crack is visible.
• For low temperature (under 80°C) programs:
– the water used must be healthy water (either
mineral water or tap water if its quality is
confirmed)
– glass stew pot must be cleaned (with
detergent) and dried in ambient air before use
(no wiping with a cloth already used)
– always use the cap on stew pot during heating
• there can be slight difference between
temperature inside double boiling bottle and
setting temperature of water in kettle body
• Our guarantee does not cover kettles that do not
work properly or do not work at all because they
have not been descaled.
• Protect the appliance from damp and frost.
