SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance.

Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated

on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is

grounded.

Do not use accessories not provided or suggested by Cecotec,

as these could cause damage to the product or result in risk.

This appliance is designed for household only, do not use for

industrial purposes or outdoors.

Do not place the appliance on unstable surfaces always place

it on even, dry and stable surfaces.

Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.

Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part

of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the

electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry

before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

Do not place the device in the dishwasher.

Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

Do not use the device outdoors and always place it in a dry

environment.

Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the

cord cannot get caught in anyway. Do notwindthe cord around

the appliance and do not bend it.

The appliance is designed for slicing cold meat. Do not slice

hard baked food, frozen food, food in plastic or aluminium foil,

meat with bones, fruit with hard stones etc.

The device is suitable for cutting boneless meat, cheese, bread

and vegetables.

Check the power cord regularlyforvisible damage. If the cord is

damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support

Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.

Make sure the disc is properly fixed before operating the

machine.

To push food against the cutting disc, use the food pusher

supplied with this appliance only.

Do not touch the rotating cutting disc.

The blade of this appliance is extremely sharp; always be very

careful when operating or cleaning the appliance.

Never cut food only by using your hands. Always use the slide

and its food guide unless it is impossible because of the size

and dimension of the article. Make sure never to touch the

blade. If food gets stuck on the cutting disc, remove it with a

plastic spatula. Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from

the power supply before cleaning it.

Do not insert fingers or any other items such as knives, forks

etc. into the area between the cutting thickness-setting plate

and the cutting disc.

Make sure the cutting disc has completely stopped before

removing food.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.

A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards

resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer

cord.

Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.

Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power

supply before assembling, disassembling it or if it is not going

to be used for a long period of time. Pull from the plug and not

the cord to disconnect it.

It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all

times as it comes into direct contact with food.

The appliance is not intended to be used by children, persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of

experience and knowledge.

2. BEFORE USE

Take the product out of the box and remove all packaging materials.

Wash all the accessories that come into contact with foodstuffs (cutting disc, sliding plate,

food pusher and thumb guard) in hot water and soap. Rinse them with water and dry them

thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Place the device on a flat, stable surface.

Always place the pusher on to the sliding carriage before use.

3. OPERATION

For safety purposes, your appliance is fitted with a sliding food platform with a thumb guard

and pusher, which will keep your hands protected, while giving an exceptional comfort of use.

The platform allows making to and forth motions along the blade to cut the slices. Use the

handle of the carriage to move it.

The pusher allows you to hold the food in position when slicing by holding your hand far from

the blade. Therefore, it is recommended to always use the pusher except ifthe food is too large

- in this case keep your fingers as far as possible from the blade.

Note:

Never use the slicer for more than 10 minutes continuously.

The cutting blade continues to rotate after the slicer has been switched off. Wait until the

blades have stopped completely.

For safety reasons, the slice thickness knob must be returned to the "O" position after use.

Using the food slicer

Plug the device into a power supply.

Place a plate or a dish near the slicer to collect the slices.

Move the platform away from the blade and lay the food to be sliced on the stainless-steel

surface of the carriage.

Push the food against the back plate with the pusher and select the slicing thickness - up to 15

mm - by turning the adjusting knob.

Turn the switch to the ON position. The blade will start rotating.

Push the platform using your thumb on the thumb guard to bring the food towards the blade.

Therefore, use the handle of the carriage and keep the pressure on the back plate of the

appliance using the pusher. Do not apply too much pressure, for best results. Fig. 2.

Note: If it becomes difficult to slice the food, move back a little bit and start the operation again

by approaching the blade slowly.

To avoid food from sticking to the appliance and to improve the slicing, moisten or oil the blade

with a towel beforehand.

Once slicing is done, switch the appliance off and wait until the

blade comes to a

complete standstill. Place the thickness

adjustment dial inthe “0” position.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always turn the appliance off and disconnect it from the power supply and set the plate at 0

mm before cleaning it.

Remove and clean any food rests after each use. Clean all the parts that come into contact

with food.

Use a soft cloth soaked in water to clean the appliance and then dry it.

Wipe the inside and housing of the appliance and the surface of the blade with a damp paper

towel or a soft cloth.

For a deeper cleaning, disassemble the food pusher, the sliding plate and the cutting disc in

order to clean them with warm water and kitchen detergent.

Dry all the product parts thoroughly before assembling them again.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or scouring pads to clean the appliance as these could

cause surface damage.

The pusher can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Rinse well after cleaning. Do not put in the

dishwasher.

Dry all parts well before storage.

Removing the sliding carriage for cleaning

Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged.

Set the thickness adjustment dial in the "O" position.

Pull the button at the end of the sliding rod.

Lift the rod to remove it.

Remove the carriage from the rod and clean it in warm soapy water.

To put the carriage back in place, simply proceed in reverse order. Make sure the carriage has

been re-installed correctly before restarting or storing the appliance.

Removing the blade for cleaning

Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged.

To remove the blade, turn the locking device, located in the centre of the blade, anticlockwise.

Wash the blade in warm soapy water. Do not wash in the dishwasher! Let it dry thoroughly.

Clean the housing behind the bladewith a dry cloth ora soft

brush.

To put the blade back in place,

simply proceed in reverse order

. Lock the

blade by turning

the locking device clockwise.

Note:

A lubricant paste is applied at the factory in order to ensure correct lubrication for the

first couple ofusage. Afterthis, the firsttime you remove the blade,the user can remove

the extra lubrication paste or leave it. The paste is food safe. No extra lubrication will

be needed afterwards.

Just cautiously cleaning the blade surface after use as indicated in the user manual

should avoid cross-contamination. Deep cleaning by removing the blade shall only be

necessary from time to time.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic

Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must

not be disposed ofwith the normal unsorted municipalwaste. Old appliances

must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling

of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and

the environment.

The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbolon the product remindsyou of yourobligation to dispose

of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be

removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the

correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof

of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given

proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten,

exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault

attributable to the customer.

The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the

official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based

on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not

apply.
