1.0 INTRODUCTION

The following assembly procedure can be used for the multidiscussion systems B-500Ti-2, B-500Ti-3 and B-500Ti-5.

The assembly sequence is almost identical for all systems.

The microscope is a precision scientific instrument designed for long lasting life with a minimal maintenance, being built

following the best optical and mechanical standards and developed for a daily use.

Optika reminds that the present manual contains important informations for a safe use and a correct maintenance of the

instrument. It has to be available for each user.

Optika declines any responsibility coming from a wrong use of its instruments non described in this guide.

2.0 UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY

The multidiscussion system is housed in a moulded Styrofoam container. Remove the tape from the edge of

the container and lift the upper part of the container. Take care not to let optical items fall out end get dam-

aged. Remove each part from the housing and place them of a sturdy table.

2.1 Install the microscope as indicated in the specific instruction manual. Do not install the observation

head.

2.2 Place the splitter attachment of the multidiscussion system

and tighten the lock screw on the right side of the microscope

(Fig. 1).

2.3 In order to use the green arrow which will be used asIn order to use the green arrow which will be used as

a pointer, it is mandatory to turn on the main switch

of the microscope body. Connect one terminal of the

provided cable into the back side of the splitter and the

other terminal into the connector placed of the upper

part of the microscope. (Fig. 2). Now use the pointer

position controller (1) or the pointer intensity controller

(2) to adapt to specific needs position and intensity of

the pointer.

2.4 Begin to place the connection tubes on both sides of

the splitter attachment. Firmly screw the black ring

nut. (Fig. 3-4).

«Every connection is identified by a letter printed on

both sides of the connection. Make sure to match

the letters in order to correctly assemble the micro-

scope..

2.5 Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the

splitter (in case of B-500Ti-5)

2.6 Insert the second part of the extension tube (Fig. 6).

«At the end of the first extension tube there is a lens

(Fig. 5). Make sure it is free from dirt, dust or other

contaminants before to proceed with the assem-

bling of the second extension tube.

2.7 Fully insert the second extension tube in the right posi-

tion. Using the provided Allen wrench (small one) lock

the fixing screws (1) to block the extension tube (Fig.

6).

2.8 Adjust the height of the multi-head holder. Loosen

the base fixing knob (1), unscrew the base (2) in or-

der to reach the desired height, then lock the knob.

(Fig. 7).

2.9 Insert the optical head (always matching the refe-

rence letters) and screw the black fixing ring. (Fig.

8).

2.10 Insert the binocular heads, matching the reference

letters (Fig. 9).

2.11 Insert the provided eyepieces (WF10X/20) into bi-

nocular heads. (Fig. 10).

2.12 Repeat all these operations for all the other observa-

tion points.

2.13 Install the trinocular head over the splitter, directly onto

the microscope body. (Fig. 11)

2.13 Once completely assembled, the B-500Ti-5 looks like

this.

Questa procedura di assemblaggio si applica ai sistemi per multi-osservazione B-500Ti-2, B-500Ti-3 e B-500Ti-5.

La sequenza di montaggio è praticamente identica per tutti i sistemi.

Il presente microscopio è uno strumento scientifico di precisione studiato per durare molti anni con una manutenzione

minima, essendo costruito secondo i migliori standard ottici e meccanici e progettato per un utilizzo quotidiano.

Optika ricorda che il presente manuale contiene informazioni importanti per un uso sicuro e una corretta manutenzione

dello strumento. Esso deve quindi essere accessibile a chiunque lo utilizzi.

2.0 RIMOZIONE DELL’IMBALLAGGIO E MONTAGGIO

Il dispositivo per multi-osservazione si trova in un imballaggio di polistirolo espanso stampato. Dopo aver tol-

to il nastro adesivo da tutti gli imballi, sollevare la metà superiore dell’imballaggio. Fare attenzione a non far

cadere o danneggiare le componenti ottiche. Estrarre tutte le parti dai singoli alloggiamenti nell’imballaggio

ed appoggiarli su di un piano stabile.

2.1 Assemblare il microscopio come indicato nel manuale di istruzioni specifico dello strumento, senza mon-

tare la testata di osservazione.

2.2 Inserire il deviatore ottico del dispositivo per multi-osserva-

zione e fissarlo con la vite di bloccaggio posta sul corpo del

microscopio (Fig. 1).

2.3 Per poter utilizzare la freccia luminosa verde che ver-

rà usata come puntatore, si deve accendere l’interrut-

tore generale del microscopio posto nella parte poste-

riore dello strumento. Collegare un terminale del cavo

in dotazione nella parte posteriore del deviatore ottico

e l’altro terminale nel connettore posto sulla parte su-

periore del microscopio. (Fig. 2). A questo punto usa-

re la manopola di spostamento della freccia luminosa

(1) o la manopola di regolazione dell’intensità (2) per

adattare alle proprie esigenze posizione e luminosità

del puntatore.

2.4 Collegare la prima parte del tubo di estensione al de-

viatore ottico. Inserire il tubo nel deviatore fino in fon-

do ed avvitare completamente l’anello nero di tenuta.

(Fig. 3-4).

«Ogni singolo punto di connessione è identificato

da una lettera. Verificare di fare combaciare le let-

tere durante la procedura di montaggio.

2.5 Ripetere la stessa operazione sul lato opposto del de-

viatore (nel caso del B-500Ti-5)

2.6 Inserire la seconda parte del tubo di estensione (Fig.

6).

«La parte terminale del primo tubo di estensione è

chiusa da una lente (Fig. 5). Verificare che sia esen-

te da sporco, polvere o altri contaminanti prima di

procedere con il montaggio del secondo tubo di

estensione.

2.7 Inserire fino in fondo il secondo tubo di estensione nel-

la posizione esatta. Usando la brugola in dotazione

(quella piccola) bloccare le viti di fissaggio (1) per fis-

sare il tubo di estensione (Fig. 6).

2.8 Regolare l’altezza della colonna di supporto del

tubo di estensione. Allentare la manopola di ser-

raggio della base (1), svitare la base (2) fino a rag-

giungere l’altezza desiderata, serrare la manopola.

(Fig. 7).

2.9 Inserire la testata ottica (sempre facendo coincidere

le lettere di riferimento), e serrare l’anello nero di

tenuta. (Fig. 8).

2.10 Inserire le teste di osservazione binoculari, sempre

rispettando le lettere di riferimento (Fig. 9).
