A person who has not read and understood all operating and safety instructions

is not qualied to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read and

understand this Instruction Manual before operating or cleaning this appliance.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions

should always be followed, including:

1. Read all instructions before operating this appliance.

2. DO NOT TOUCH the hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

3. This appliance is NOT A TOY.

4. Unsupervised young children and cognitively challenged

individuals should never operate this appliance.

5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

6. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug

or any part of this unit in water or other liquids.

7. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and before cleaning.

Allow to cool before putting on or taking o any parts, and before cleaning.

8. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance

malfunctions, or if the appliance has been damaged in any manner. Return the

appliance to the nearest repair shop for examination, repair or adjustment.

9. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of accessory attachments other than

what is provided by the manufacturer. Use of attachments may cause injuries.

10. DO NOT use the appliance for other than its intended use.

Operating Safety Precautions

1. NEVER put ngers or plastic utensils into the hot mixture.

2. Keep hands and face away from the opening of the pot.

3. During use, the appliance is very hot and remains hot for some time after

being turned o. DO NOT touch hot surfaces like the heated base.

4. Steam may be released from food during cooking. For your safety,

avoid contact with steam, as it is very hot and can cause burns.

Instructions for the Electrical Cord and Plug

1. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the

risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way.

If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t,

contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

2. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting

from becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord.

3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

• Extension cords can be used if care is exercised in their use.

• The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should

be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

• When using a longer cord or extension cord, make sure that

the cord does not drape over a countertop or tabletop where

it can be pulled on or tripped over unintentionally.

4. The manufacturer does not recommend using this machine in countries that do not

support 120V AC even if a voltage adapter, transformer, or converter is in use.

Congratulations on your purchase of the CHOCOLATE CANDY BAR MAKER from

Nostalgia™! Now you can make and customize your very own chocolate bars and

nuggets right at home in a fun and easy way. Layer with milk chocolate, white chocolate,

candy pieces, nuts and more to make some truly unique chocolate creations!

Assembly

1. Before rst use, wipe down the Heated Base, Heating Pots, Ice Trays, Toppings Tray, Toppings

Spoons and Chocolate Molds with a damp, non-abrasive cloth and dry thoroughly.

NOTE: Be careful to not get any water in the Heated Base, or the unit will not function.

2. Assemble the Interlocking Ice Trays by connecting them into a full circle.

Optional: Replace one of the Ice Trays with the Toppings Tray.

3. Place the Silicone Chocolate Molds into each of the Ice Trays.

4. Thread the electrical plug of the Heated Base through the center of the Ice

Trays. Place the electrical cord between the gaps of each Ice Tray.

5. Set the Heated Base into the center of the Ice Trays and place a Heating Pot into the Heated

Base.

HOW TO OPERATE

1. Follow the steps under PARTS & ASSEMBLY to correctly

assemble your CHOCOLATE CANDY BAR MAKER.

2. Place the unit on a dry, heat-resistant, level surface near an electrical outlet.

3. Remove the Silicone Molds, ll the Ice Trays 3/4 full with ice, and

then place the Silicone Molds back over the ice-lled trays.

4. Place a Heating Pot into the Heated Base, then ip the Power Switch

(located on the Heated Base) to the On (|) position.

5. Using your own recipe or one of the recipes included in this manual, prepare your chocolate

mixture in the Heating Pot.

NOTE: Be very careful not to overll the Heating Pot. DO NOT

exceed the maximum capacity, which is about 1 cup.

6. Watch the Heating Pot and stir mixture as necessary.

CAUTION: The mixture may boil and steam may be released from the food

while cooking. For your safety, DO NOT allow the mixture to boil over and

avoid contact with steam, as it is very hot and may cause burns.

7. In 10-15 minutes, when the mixture is runny, carefully pour into the molds using the

spout on the Heating Pot. If using the second Heating Pot to make a second batch or

avor, switch the Heating Pot out so that the second is now on the Heated Base.

8. In between layers of chocolate try adding your favorite toppings and llings to the Molds.

9. When nished lling molds, allow the ice trays to set the chocolate bars and

nuggets for 15 to 30 minutes before removing from the Chocolate Molds.

10. When chocolate bars and nuggets have solidied, remove the Silicone Molds from

the Ice Trays, then carefully bend the Silicone Molds to release the chocolates.

11. Lastly, enjoy your deliciously unique chocolate bars and nuggets!

HELPFUL TIPS

NEVER leave the unit unattended while operating.

The ice cubes in the Interlocking Ice Trays provide the temperature needed

for the chocolate to set. To ensure that the chocolate bars and nuggets set

quickly, replace ice cubes in the Interlocking Ice Trays as they melt.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Please take care of your CHOCOLATE CANDY BAR MAKER by

following these simple instructions and precautions.

1. Disconnect from the electrical outlet by unplugging the appliance.

2. Make sure the appliance is completely cool before cleaning.

3. Remove all parts from the Heated Base.

4. Dispose of any remaining chocolate or toppings by emptying into a bag or trash receptacle.

NOTE: It is not recommended to pour the leftover chocolate

down the sink as it may harden and clog the sink.

5. Hand wash the Melting Pots, Silicone Molds, Toppings Tray and Ice

Trays in warm, soapy water with a non-abrasive cloth.

6. Dry parts thoroughly with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

7. Wipe the Heated Base with a dry, non-abrasive cloth. Ensure

that no water gets inside of the Heated Base.

8. DO NOT put any parts in a dishwasher, except for the silicone molds. If you wish,

the silicone molds may be washed in the dishwasher on the top shelf only.

9. NEVER immerse Heated Base or cord in water.
