171 Bottle Single Zone Wine Cooler
Thank you for choosing a Bordeaux Wine Cooler. If operated and taken care of
properly in accordance with these instructions, this appliance will be useful for
many years.

2 Before First Use
• Before first use, remove any stickers or similar from the appliance, except
for the rating label.
• Dispose of any plastic bags as they pose a risk of suffocation to young
children.
• Leave the wine cooler in an upright position for 4–6 hours before you
connect it to the power supply.
• Before connecting the wine cooler to the power supply, clean it thoroughly.
• The wine cooler must be connected to the power supply correctly.
• After turning it on, allow the temperature inside the wine cooler to stabilise
for approx. 24h before use.
• Do not overstock the wine cooler with bottles.

Please read this manual before operating the wine cooler, and keep it in a safe
place for future reference. If this appliance is transferred to a new owner, the
manual should also be provided to the new owner. If you ignore the warnings
and cautions, you may endanger the health and safety of yourself and others.
3 Important Safety Precautions
• Before operating the wine cooler, check if the voltage indicated on the
appliance’s technical plate corresponds to the voltage of the electricity
supplied to your home.
• Check the electrical connections you will use to run the cooler. Do all
wires and connections to the appliance work properly? Or are they old and
worn? Do the electrical connections at your home match the technical
requirements of the appliance?
• The Bordeaux 171 bottle single zone wine cooler intended for private
domestic use only. It is not suitable for commercial use, and it should not be
used when camping, or during transport.
• The Bordeaux 171 bottle single zone wine cooler is intended for indoor use
only. Do not use outside.
• Do not allow anyone who is not familiar with this instruction manual to
operate the wine cooler.
• This wine cooler may be operated by children aged 8 years and above. The
cooler may also be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory
and mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are
supervised or have been instructed concerning the safe use of the appliance,
and if they comprehend the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must
not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
• Do not connect the wine cooler to the power supply if the appliance itself,
the power cord, or the plug are visibly damaged.
• Never try to repair the wine cooler yourself. If the appliance does not
operate properly, please contact the retailer. Only original spare parts should
be used to replace faulty parts.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an
authorised after-sales service technician, or a qualified electrician.
• The Bordeaux 171 bottle single zone wine cooler is equipped with the
environmentally friendly refrigerant R600a. The refrigerant R600a is
flammable. The components of the cooling circuit must not be damaged
during transport or use.
• Never store or use the appliance near a fire, a naked flame or a spark-
generating device.
• If you smell gas and believe that the cooling circuit is damaged, contact the
shop you purchased the appliance at immediately.
• If you smell R600a gas in your home:
1. Open the windows.
2. Do not unplug the appliance, and do not operate the control panel or
thermostat.
3. Do not touch the appliance until all the gas has dissipated; otherwise,
sparks may be generated, which will ignite the gas.
• When disposing of or decommissioning the appliance, keep all components
of the wine cooler away from fire and other sources of ignition.
• Do not install the wine cooler near volatile or combustible materials (e.g. gas,
fuel, paints), or in rooms that may have poor air circulation (e.g. garage or
basement).
EXPLOSION HAZARD
Do not store any explosive materials or sprays that contain flammable
propellants in your wine cooler.
• Do not connect the wine cooler to the power supply until all packaging and
transit protectors have been removed.
• Operate the wine cooler on 220–240V/50Hz only.
• Do not use a powerboard, multiplug or surge protector when connecting the
wine cooler to the power supply.
• Check that the power cord is not placed under the wine cooler, or damaged
when moving it.

• Your home electrical supply must be equipped with an automatic circuit
breaker.
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
Turn off the power before you install the wine cooler and before you connect
it to the power supply. Do not use any steam cleaners to clean the appliance.
Steam may come into contact with electrical components and cause an
electrical short.
• Do not modify the wine cooler.
• Disconnect the wine cooler from the power supply before you clean or
maintain it.
• Do not put any heat-radiating appliances onto or near your wine cooler.
• Do not install the wine cooler in a place where it may come into contact with
water/rain, which may damage the electrical system.
• Do not put a kettle or vases etc on top of or into your wine cooler. The
electrical components can be seriously damaged by water boiling over or
spilling.
• The condenser and the compressor, located at the rear of the wine cooler,
can reach high temperatures during ordinary operation. Insufficient
ventilation of the appliance may damage the appliance. Do not cover or
block the air vents at any time.
• When the wine cooler is working, do not touch the the interior with wet or
damp hands, because your skin may stick to dry ice that has formed on these
surfaces.
• Never hold the appliance by the door when moving as you will damage the
hinges.
• Do not operate the wine cooler unless all components are installed correctly.
• Do not stand or lean on the base, the drawers, the doors, or other parts of
the wine cooler.
• Do not put hot liquids or hot food into the wine cooler.

4 Installation
• Unpack the wine cooler carefully. Dispose of the packaging.
• Your wine cooler has been protected from damage in transport by adhesive
tape. Remove the tape carefully. Remove remains of the tape with a damp
cloth, lukewarm water, and a mild detergent (see chapter Cleaning and
Maintenance). Do not remove any components from the back of the
appliance.
• Install the wine cooler in a suitable position keeping an adequate distance
from sources of heat and cold.
• Check that the wine cooler, the power cord, and its plug are not damaged.
• Install the wine cooler in a dry and well-ventilated place.
• Protect the wine cooler from direct sunlight.
• Check that the doors can open completely and without hindrance.
• Install the wine cooler on a level, dry, solid floor.
• Connect the cooler to the power supply.
• The Rating Label is situated inside or at the back of the appliance.

6 Temperature Settings
• Set the temperature using the and buttons by 1° per click within a
range of 5–18°C (40–66°F).
• Switch the internal light on/off using the LIGHT button.
• Select degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit using the button.
• Flashing LED display = Temperature setting mode.
• Constant LED display = Cooling mode.
7 Operation
The wine cooler can only reach the desired temperature when:
1. The door is closed.
2. You do not open the door too often, or leave the door open for too long.
3. The door seals are in good condition.
4. The appliance is properly positioned.
5. You have not overfilled the cooler.
6. You do not store warm or hot food in the appliance.
• High ambient temperatures and simultaneously operating at the coldest
setting may make the compressor operate continuously to keep the
temperature constant inside the appliance.
