SK-130ITH is designed to measure air temperature, humidity, and surface temperature of an object.
In addition, it calculates dew point to help you prevent condensation. Do not use it for any other
purposes. Read this manual thoroughly before use and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
Cautions and Warnings
WARNING
Beware of Explosion
SK-130ITH is not explosion-proof. Never use it in an atmosphere containing flammable gases.
Beware of Laser
SK-130ITH is classified as class 2 laser product. The laser is dangerous if it gets into eyes.
⚫Do not look into the laser emitting window.
⚫Do not point the laser at persons.
⚫Keep the instrument out of the reach of children.
CAUTION
Make sure to observe the following precautions in order to use this instrument correctly.
⚫Do not use the device in a place exposed to gases of non-standard atmosphere, direct sun
light, extreme heat, or vibration.
⚫This device is not waterproof. Do not let it get wet.
⚫Do not use the device out of its measuring range, or it may break the device.
⚫This device is not for clinical use.
⚫Do not touch the humidity sensor.
⚫If the device gets condensed, dry it in room temperature immediately before using it again.
⚫Use of this device under electrical noise may result in unstable display or larger errors.
⚫Do not disassemble, modify, or drop the unit, or use batteries other than indicated so as not to
result in measuring failure, breakdown, or exposure of radiation.
⚫Do not use alcohol, thinner or any other chemical solvents to clean the device. Use a towel
dampened in warm water with a neutral detergent and wrung tightly instead.
Infrared Thermometer
⚫The device does not measure surface temperature of an object behind glasses.
⚫Sudden changes of ambient temperature may worsen the accuracy of infrared thermometer.
When the air temperature changes more than 10°C, wait at least 30 minutes before use.
⚫Do not let the device touch an object. Especially if it gets in contact with a heated object, it
may result in measuring failure or breakdown.
⚫If dust gets into the infrared lens, the accuracy may be compromised. Clean the lens if it is
dirty. Refer to Maintenance for details.
⚫Do not make any sharp or hard object contact with the infrared lens. If the lens is scratched,
the accuracy may be compromised.
