1. Introduction
1.1 Features
The MK350D is a li htwei ht, portable, easy-to-operate LED
meter with Micro SDCard data stora e. This product has basic
features for fast, easy Li ht Measurements.
Records over 27 li ht unit-of-measures; Basic List items
(CCT, RA, CIE1976 , CIE1931, LUX, FC, LambdaP, R9, Flicker);
uSPECTRUM PC link items (LambdaPV, R1-R15,
Wavelen th Spectrum Intensities).
All-in-one LED meter – no other equipment necessary (e. .
PC, power supply etc.)
Supports Micro SD card data stora e for measurement
data
Pocket-sized portability
Flicker measurement
Can be used with the uSPECTRUM PC software to interface
with PCs, providin for full screen Spectrum and
Chromaticity analysis (explained in uSPECTRUM Manual)
Can be remote controlled by Bluetooth devices usin
uSPECTRUM App Software.

1.4 Annual Product calibration
This product is a hi h-precision measurement device with
sensitive components – please handle with care. To ensure
the accuracy of measurements, it is recommended to have
the unit calibrated once a year. Please contact your a ent or
our customer service department for calibration service.
1.5 Product notes and precautions
The MK350D LED Meter contains sensitive components.
Please unpack with care, as any trauma to the unit may
dama e the equipment. Contact your a ent if the unit
appears not to be operatin normally. Do not attempt any
repairs – all repairs must be performed by qualified service
a ents.
Precautions/Warnin s： Please read the followin
precautions to avoid fire, excessive heat, chemical leaka e
and explosion.
- Do not disassemble or modify the product
- Do not expose the product to heat (fire) or
water/moisture.
- When disposin the product, wrap with insulation tape
to shield the internal battery from electrical contact
with metallic objects, which mi ht i nite a fire or
explosion.
- If the unit is plu ed into the power adapter and the
product seems to be overheatin , or if there is smoke

or peculiar odors emanatin from the unit, unplu
immediately to avoid the possibility of fire.
- However, do not touch the cables if there is heat
emanatin from near the cables, as melted or
deformed cables could expose wirin and result in
burns or electric shock.
- Do not use cloth or anythin to wrap or cover the
equipment while char in – this could cause the unit
to overheat, meltin the casin or causin fire.
- If the unit is accidently immersed in water, or if
moisture has seeped inside, or metal objects have
dropped into the casin , immediately remove to avoid
fire or electric shock.
- Do not operate or store the product in hi h-
temperature environments - it will cause the internal
battery to leak and/or shorten the life of the battery .
- Do not use paint thinner, benzene or other or anic
solvents to clean the unit – this may dama e the
exterior finish, and may even i nite fire.

2. Getting Started
This section describes how to et started by char in the
internal battery in the MK350D and then takin a quick
measurement. Note that some of the references to buttons
and li hts are described in the Product Description section.
1. Remove the MK350D
unit and the USB
Char er supplied in
the packa in and
connect one end of
the Char er cable to
the MK350D and the
other end into a wall
socket with the
appropriate volta e. The indicator li ht will illuminate
oran e indicatin that it is char in . The li ht will turn
reen when fully char ed. For first time use, char e the
battery for at least 6 hours.
Taking a measurement
While your unit is char in , you can start takin
measurements with the power adaptor plu ed in or you can
wait until the unit is fully char ed.

2. First slide the “Sensor Cover” over the sensor lens.
3. Then turn on the MK350D by pressin the On/Off button
on the side of the unit. The indicator li ht will illuminate
reen and a UPRtek splash screen will display.
Note: If you are usin a USB Char er, the MK350D will
automatically turn itself on.

After the splash screen, a Dark Calibration label will
display indicatin that a Dark Calibration is in pro ress.
When Dark Calibration is complete, the screen will
indicate so – Dark Calibration usually takes about 10-11
seconds.

4. Slide the Sensor Cover so that the Sensor is visible a ain.
The first screen will display the Date & Time, Optic
Number and Version Number. The battery level indicator
is on the ri ht. If the unit is char in , a li htnin bolt will
appear over the battery symbol.
