Press key to enter maximum recording mode, the “
MaxL
” mark will appear.
Press key to circulate the display of the maximum (MaxL), Minimum
(MinL) and Current (SPL blinking display) reading.
Press key for 3 seconds to restart the maximum recording mode.
Press key for 6 seconds to exit this mode.
6. key: Sets the frequency weighting to A,C or Z.
7. key: Sets the time weighting to FAST (F), SLOW (S) or Impulse (I).
FAST: Uses a 125ms time-constant. This setting is used in most situations.
SLOW: Uses a 1s time constant, which smoothes out fluctuating levels.
Impulse: Uses a 35ms time constant. Which was traditionallyused to display an
impulsive type noise, allowing the maximum levels to be more easily
seen on a changing display.
8. key: The maximum level in dB reached by the sound pressure at any
instant during a measurement period. It is the true peak level of the
pressure wave, which should not be confused with the highest sound
pressure level, termed MaxL.
Sets the Peak frequency weighting:
a. Press and hold down key then Press key to turn on the meter, until
the “MaxP” mark is displayed.
b. Press key to sets the desired peak frequency weighting A, C or Z.
c. Press key again to exit.
PEAK measurement:
a. Press keyto enter peak recording mode, the “MaxP” mark is displayed.
b. Press key again to restart the peak recording mode.
c. Press key for 3 seconds to exit this mode.
9. CAL potentiometer: Calibration potentiometer for level adjustment.
10. DC/AC output socket:
DC output signal corresponding to sound level.
AC output signal with frequency weighting.
