INTRODUCTION
Proaim introduces its 18 camera crane jib, a perfect companion for your lming projects and
adventures. It is specially designed Camera Jib for professionals to extend their reach and to dis-
cover every unexplored angle. Enhance the video producon value with Smooth vercal / hori-
zontal / 360 degree revolving shots while sll keeping the crowd and crew safe.

Using the following pictures and text as a guide for set up, please follow the instrucons in
order of appearance.
For stability and mounng of your 18’ Jib Arm on the stand remove the stand from the case and
proceed as follows:
Loosen the lower knob 1 located at the top of the spreader legs
Slide the legs down the center post to the widest possible posion and ghten the knob 1
to secure. A wider spread ensures more stability.
Draw the center post up to the desired jib height and lock into place using the provided
locking pin.
ASSEMBLING THE JIB ARM
MOUNT THE CENTRAL POST OF THE JIB ON THE STAND
Slide the Center Post of the Jib onto the Stand Mount and ghten the knob 2 to secure it.

CONNECT THE 4TH JIB SECTION TO THE CENTER POST
Open the shank from the Central Post leaving the
black washers on the side they came from.

Using a wrench, ghten the dome nut from both sides to se-
cure the two secons.
Insert the 4th secon inside the Center Post and align the
holes of the secon with the cen-tral post to screw in the
shank.
CONNECTING ARM SECTIONS 3 WITH 2, 2 WITH 1 & 4 WITH 3
The 3rd secon has connecng bars aached to both the ends. Slide the bars of secon 3
into the slots of secon 2 & ghten both the secons together using the provided Allen
Key. Connue the Arm build by sliding in secon 1 onto secon 2 and nally secon 4 onto
secon 3.
Tighten the Allen keys as before to secure the secons. Your arm build is now complete.
Tighten the wire puller and its central pool adapter. Tighten the bolts to secure them

and connue to slide the shank through the set up.

ADJUSTING THE WIRE TENSIONER
To add strength and stability to your Jib and allow for maxi-
mum weight carrying, the fore and a wire ends once posi-
oned need to have the slack taken out by use of the wire
adjuster shown above. Once connected in line with the wire,
simply rotate the mid secon handle to ghten the wire add-
ing the required amount of strength to the system. Screw-In System

ADDING THE COUNTER WEIGHTS
Securing the counter weights to the Jib is accomplished
by the use of the stainless steel shank. It has two lock
os, one for each side of the Arm to prevent the weights
from shiing during use or accidentally falling o the jib.
Standard exercise weights (not supplied) with a 1’ hole
are easily rig mountable and are used to equal the
weight placed on the camera side of the Jib.

CAMERA MOUNTING PLATE
To accommodate various manufacturers and dierent
sized cameras, mulple slots are provided for aach-
ment.
You will need to ne tune your counterweights to accom-
modate camera, head and other accessories being used
on the Jib Arm.
MOUNTING THE PAN-TILT HEAD
If you are using the remote capability of a Pan/Tilt Head, it
can be easily mounted to the jib via the 4 slots located at
the corners of the plate using 4 screws.
This assembly is usually accomplished from the underside
(boom) of the jib camera plate.

PIN FEATURE FOR TILTING SHOTS
Removing the locking pin on the Center Post allows the operator
to frame lng shots by use of the control handle.
MOUNTING A MONITOR
Provisions for LCD monitor mounng to the Jib Arm are built in.

WARRANTY
We oer a one year warranty for our products from the date of purchase.
We will repair or replace your product, free of charge, in the event of a defect in materials or
crasmanship obtained during normal use or handling based on the user manual. Please note
that we will not cover any shipping costs for returning the product to us. If any VAT or import
dues are applied to the return, we will also charge these costs to the customer.
The warranty does not include, by the way of example, damage caused by products that we do
not supply or from mishandling in transit, accident, misuse, neglect, lack of care of the product ,
or service by anyone other than our company.
We are not liable for incidental or consequenal damages resulng from the use of the unit or
occurring due to any breach of this warranty.
Replacement parts of the product will be provided at nominal cost (covering the cost price of the
replacement parts only) to the customers aer the Warranty Period has expired. We will cover
the complete cost of sending replacement parts within the warranty period. Aer that, Nominal
cost of the product & Actual shipping cost will be charged.

the item.
