Introduction:
KC-280ª anemometer is a unit with high stability and advanced sensor technology. It is suitable for the measurement of
air speed and temperature under normal ambient temperature. It is an ideal instrument in environmental monitor
stations, building conditioning ventilation test and calibrating temperature. This model has the advantages of easy
operation, rapid measurement, safe usage and portability. It widely in the measurement temperature and air speed. It
designs as a lower-power and intelligent way. It has backlight LCD display and has the function of default parameters
saved and measurement data maintained automatically which can avoid to reset for each power.
Battery Safety Instructions
•Please remove the batteries when clean the product in case of the
deterioration of battery and its damage to the tool.
•Remove the batteries before long term storage.
•Please install the batteries properly as the instructions of the positive
and negative charges
Please dispose the batteries properly. High temperature will cause explosions
and do not burn the batteries. Strap insulated tape around the battery charges to
avoid unsafe contacts with other objects. Many countries have regulations
regarding battery disposal. Please follow the local regulations of battery
disposing

Instructions:
1.- unscrew the battery cover according to the direction indicated by the arrow, remove the insulation film from under the battery and
place a CR2032 button cell battery according to the polarities indicated. Then replace the cover-
2.- press the power / WC1 button on the device and the default temperature and air speed.
3.- Remove the turbine guard and place the device perpendicular to the direction of the air flow. air speed will be displayed on the top line
of the screen
4.- Adjust the air speed display. That is to say in normal state, press the SET / HOLD button to change the value to current, Maximum,
Minimum and average value. The indicated values will appear and the real-time indication will disappear.
5.- Adjust the wind speed units, in normal state, press the “UNIT” button, the wind speed unit will flash, press the SET / HOLD button until
the desired unit flashes, press the “UNIT” button for a second time and exit the selection mode, the speed unit will stop flashing.
6.- Adjust the temperature unit by pressing the “UNIT” button twice consecutively, when the temperature unit flashes press the SET /
HOLD button to select the desired unit. Press the UNIT button to exit this mode.
7.- “Hold” screen function. In normal state, press the SET / HOLD button for 2 seconds to capture the contents of the screen, the HOLD
symbol appears on the screen. Press this button again to return to normal status.
Attention: during maintenance, if the battery does not have enough charge, the low battery indicator will appear on the screen.
8.- Visualization of ambient temperature and cold air temperature. In normal state, the ambient temperature is displayed on the line
below. Press / WCI to display the air flow temperature, the WCI symbol will appear. Press that button again and this indication will
disappear and the ambient temperature will be displayed again.
Note. The air speed must be higher than 1.34 m / s (4.8 km / h)
9.- To turn off the unit press the / WCI button for more than two seconds.

1. Do not operate the instrument without reading this manual

2. To ensure accuracy, always place the turbine guard after use and be sure to place the sensor fully in contact with the air flow
perpendicular to its direction.
3. Do not touch the turbine, it can affect the accuracy and its operation.
4. Change the battery if the low battery indication appears
5. If the instrument is not operated for 15 seconds, the display light will turn off
6. If the instrument is not operated for 5 minutes, it will turn off automatically
7. The memorized parameters are maintained even if the instrument is turned off
8. Do not immerse the device in liquid
9. Do not operate the instrument near magnetic currents or magnets
10. To avoid damaging the appliance, do not use it near steamy or dirty environments, with static current or electro-magnetic current
sources such as induction heaters or arc welders.
