Selecting the proper locationfor your washer

laundry room, closet, or recessed area. See

"Drain System."

The following spacing dimensions are rec-

ommended for this washer. This washer has

been tested for installationwith spacing of 0"

ed spacing should be considered for the fol-

lowing reasons:

Thewasher can be installed usingthe stand-

pipe drain system (floor or wall), the laundry

tub drain system, or the floor drain system.

Selectthe drain hose installationmethodyou

STANDPIPE DRAIN SYSTEM-WALL OR

FLOOR(VIEWSA

The standpipe drain requires a minimum di-

ameter standpipe of

cm). The minimum

carry-away capacity can be no less than 17

gal. (64 L) per minute. A

cm) diameter

(2.5 cm) diameter standpipe adapter kit

isavailable. See "Tools and Parts."

The top of the standpipe must be at least 39"

from the bottomof the washer.

The laundry tub needs a minimum

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

Fora grounded,cord-connectedwasher:

Thiswasher must begrounded. Inthe event

malfunction or breakdown, grounding

will reduce the risk of electrcal shock by

providinga pathof leastresistancefor elec-

tric current. This washer is equipped with a

cord having an equipment-grounding con-

ductor and a grounding plug. The plugmust

be plugged into an appropriate outlet that

is properly installed and grounded in accor-

dance with all localcodesand ordinances.

WARNING: Improper connection of the

equipment-grounding conductor can result

inarisk of electricshock. Checkwithaquali-

fied electrician or serviceman if you are in

doubtastowhethertheapplianceisproperly

grounded.

CONNECT DRAIN HOSE

Proper connectionof the drain hose protects

your floors from damage due to water leak-

age. Read andfollow these instructions.

The drain hose is connected to your washer

and isstored inside the washer cabinet.
