DRYER SAFETY

WARNING: For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize

the risk of re or explosion, or to prevent property damage, personal injury, or death.

– Do not store or use gasoline or other ammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this

or any other appliance.

– WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS:

•Do not try to light any appliance.

•Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.

•Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's phone. Follow the gas supplier's

instructions.

•If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the re department.

– Installation and service must be performed by a qualied installer, service agency, or

the gas supplier.

•Clear the room, building, or area of all occupants.

WARNING: Gas leaks cannot always be detected by smell.

Gas suppliers recommend that you use a gas detector approved by UL or CSA.

For more information, contact your gas supplier.

If a gas leak is detected, follow the “What to do if you smell gas” instructions.

Maintain good air ow by:

n Cleaning your lint screen before each load.

n Replace plastic or foil vent material with 4" (102 mm)

diameter heavy, rigid vent material.

n Use the shortest length of vent possible.

n Use no more than four 90° elbows in a vent system;

each bend and curve reduces air ow.

n Remove lint and debris from the exhaust hood.

n Remove lint from the entire length of the vent system

at least every 2 years. When cleaning is complete, be

sure to follow the Installation Instructions supplied with

your dryer for nal product check.

n Clear away items from the front the dryer.

Good Air Flow

Along with heat, dryers require good air ow to

efciently dry laundry. Proper venting will reduce

your drying times and improve your energy savings.

See Installation Instructions.

The venting system attached to the dryer plays a

big role in good air ow.

Service calls caused by improper venting are not

covered by the warranty and will be paid by the customer,

regardless of who installed the dryer.

CONTROL PANEL AND FEATURES

WRINKLE SHIELD™ BUTTON

Touch to activate the WRINKLE SHIELD™ feature. This

option helps keep wrinkles from forming when you

cannot unload the dryer promptly at the end of a cycle.

QUICK REFRESH

Touch this button to smooth out wrinkles and reduce

odors from loads consisting of one to twelve dry items.

A small amount of water is sprayed into the dryer drum

after several minutes of tumbling with heat.

LEARN MORE

If a yellow bar appears above Learn More, touch this

button to view additional information about the selected

cycle, option, or setting.

Touch Screen Controls

ECO MONITOR

Your dryer is specially designed to conserve energy. Each

cycle, along with any selected options, will result in different

energy usage. Touch the Eco Monitor to see how well you

are saving energy.

TIMED DRY

Touch this button to select a specic amount of drying time

and a drying temperature. When a Timed Cycle is selected,

the Estimated Time Remaining display shows the actual time

remaining in your cycle.

SOUND & DISPLAY

Adjust settings such as screen calibration, end of cycle

signal, volume, LCD brightness, language, factory settings,

date, time, and custom dry level. Sales & service mode is for

qualied service personnel.

If a button along the side of the display has a green bar above it, that feature is currently activated. A blue bar indicates that you are

in the display screen for that feature.

POWER BUTTON

Touch to turn the dryer ON. Touching once while the dryer is

ON will cancel the current cycle. Touching twice will turn the

dryer OFF.

TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY

The easy-to-use touch screen displays cycle information,

settings and options, and more. To select an option, simply

touch the icon for the desired option. To adjust settings,

touch and drag the selector to the desired value.

START/PAUSE BUTTON

Touch to start the selected cycle; touch again to pause

a cycle.

The main screen has 5 tabs, each with several automatic cycles. Each tab allows you to select automatic

cycles based on what you want to dry, for example, by clothing type, color, or common household items.

The RECENT tab lists the last 7 cycles used and saves any customized settings applied to these cycles.

To select a cycle, touch the tab the cycle is in (see Cycle Chart on next page), then touch the and

arrows until the desired cycle is shown. Then simply touch the cycle icon to select. For additional

information on each cycle and recommended loads, touch LEARN MORE.

CYCLE OVERVIEW

If you select Timed Dry, you can set a specic amount of drying

time and drying temperature. When a Timed Cycle is selected,

the Estimated Time Remaining display shows the actual time

remaining in your cycle.

Timed Dry

If you select Adjust Settings, manually choose and adjust each

setting individually using the buttons across the bottom of the

screen. If an option is not available, it will be grayed out and

cannot be selected. To change settings from the cycle defaults,

touch Adjust Settings.

Automatic Cycles

Use Automatic cycles for Better Fabric Care and Energy Savings

Use the Automatic Cycles to provide the most energy savings and enhanced fabric care from the dryer. During Automatic Cycles,

drying air temperature and moisture level are sensed in the load. This sensing occurs throughout the drying cycle and the dryer

shuts off when the load reaches the selected dryness. With Timed Dry, the dryer runs the amount of time set and could result in

shrinkage, wrinkling, and static due to over-drying with certain fabrics. Use Timed Dry for the occasional damp load that needs

a little more drying time, when using the drying rack, or for items that require drying without heat such as rubber, plastic, and

heat-sensitive fabrics.

household items. Cycles are designed to maximize cleaning

effectiveness while allowing for bulky or water resistant items.

This tab includes a variety of special purpose and utility

cycles.

Cycle Chart

Once a cycle is selected, you will have the option of adjusting drying settings and

options such as the dryness level, Damp Signal, and Static Reduce. If an option is

not adjustable, it will show a “Locked” symbol.

You can manually adjust the settings and options, or use the palette and the dryer

will automatically select the best settings.

To manually adjust settings, press the adjust settings bar, select

the desired dryness level and then add additional options such as

Damp Signal and Static Reduce. If an option is not adjustable, it

will show a “Locked” symbol.

To use the palette, simply touch the area you would like to select

and the dryer will adjust the dryness level, temperature, and

drying time automatically. You may also add options such as

Damp Signal and Static Reduce.

ADJUSTING CYCLES

USING YOUR DRYER

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, or injury to

persons, read the IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS before

operating this dryer.

Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth

to remove dust from storing and shipping.

Clean the lint screen before each load. A screen blocked

by lint can increase drying time.

IMPORTANT:

Do not run the dryer with the lint screen loose, damaged,

blocked, or missing. Doing so can cause overheating and

damage to both the dryer and fabrics.

If lint falls off the screen into the dryer during removal, check

the exhaust hood and remove the lint.

1. The lint screen is located in the front of the dryer. Pull the lint

screen straight up to remove. Roll lint off the screen with your

ngers. Do not rinse or wash screen to remove lint. Wet lint is

hard to remove.

Load garments evenly in dryer drum.

IMPORTANT: Do not tightly pack dryer. Items need to

move freely. Tightly packed loads can lead to poor drying

performance, and may increase wrinkling and tangling.

3. Touch POWER to turn on dryer

Touch the POWER button to turn on the dryer. When you open

the door, the drum light will turn on.

5. Select cycle settings and options

Once you have selected the cycle, standard settings for the

cycle will be displayed. If you wish to change the standard

settings, you may adjust the settings using the adjustment

palette, or by selecting the desired settings individually

after pressing adjust settings bar. Once you have selected the

desired settings and options, touch Done to return to the main

cycle screen.

Not all settings and options are available with all cycles.

Always read and follow fabric care labels instructions

to avoid damage to your garments.

Timed Dry

4. Select Timed Dry

Use Timed Dry to manually select the drying time and

temperature, such as when using the drying rack or to nish

items that are still damp after an Automatic Cycle.

Touch the up and down arrows to adjust the drying time in

1 minute increments. Touch +10 min. or -10 min. to adjust the

time in 10 minute increments.

Use the touch screen to select the desired cycle. Cycles

are grouped in tabs by type, and the last 7 cycles used will

appear in the Recent tab. Touch the and arrows to

scroll left or right.

4. Select an Automatic Dry cycle

5. Select time and temperature

The default drying temperature is High. Touch TEMPERATURE

to select a different temperature, if desired.
