Each Timedox package consists of the following:

Mounting the Time-clock onto a wall
1. Verify the availability of an electrical outlet and an Ethernet port.
2. Place the mounting plate at the desired height –up to four (4) feet from the Ethernet
port –and mark the four (4) holes on the wall (See the middle figure below).
3. Drill the four (4) holes and insert the count dry-wall screw anchors.
4. Place the mounting plate on the wall and fasten it to the wall using the large Phillip
screws (See the middle figure below).
5. Connect the Ethernet cable and AC Power cord to the Time-clock (See the right figure
below).
6. Slide the Time-clock into the mounting plate (See the left figure below).
7. Connect the Ethernet cable to the designated port on the wall.
8. Plug the A/C power adapter into the wall socket.
9. Fasten the mounting plate to the Time-clock using the small black screw (See the
figures below).
10. Remove the fingerprint protection sticker.

Setting Date and Time
1. Press to power up the Time-
clock.
2. Press-and-hold to display the
main menu
3. Select System and then select
Date/Time.
4. Set the date and time, using the
keypad and arrows.
5. Press to save settings.
6. Press ESC to return to the main
screen.
7. Verify that the date and time are
correct.
Adding and Enrolling Employees
1. Press-and-hold to display the
main menu.
2. Select User and then select Add User.
3. Define the following the settings:
ID
ID
Name
ID
4. Choose and fill-in one of the following
options:
FP
(Fingerprint)
Verify that the protection sticker has been removed.
Place and lift desired finger three times, as instructed.
PWD
(Password)
Enter a 4-8 digit PIN.
Card
Wave the card over the Time-clock top-right across the double line.
5. Press ESC until the main screen is displayed.
6. To test the settings, clock in by your chosen option:
FP
Place the registered finger on the sensor, covering the entire surface.
PWD
Using the number keypad, enter your ID number and then your PWD.
Card
Slowly wave the proximity card once over the fingerprint sensor surface.
7. For each employee, repeat instructions 4-6.
Note: Timedox automatically registers the first punch as IN and the following one as OUT.

Data Transfer Options
The Timedox Silver Plus offers two standard connection options for transferring data.
Choose your preferred option below and follow the relevant instructions.

Note: Choose your connection option before proceeding.
Connect via your Network
1. Verify that the Ethernet cable is connected to the Time-clock and wall designated ports.
2. Press-and-hold to display the main menu.
3. Select System and then select Comm.
4. Use the arrows to select the DHCP option and turn it to ‘on’, and then press
5. Remove the power cord from the timeclock for 30 secs, and then replace it.
6. Press to power the timeclock back on and repeat steps 2 & 3.
7. Find the IP address (and other options) and note down the IP address here:

8. Download the application named OfflineDeviceManager from the Timedox support
page. (See Page 1 for intructions on accessing the support page)
9. Luanch the application and enter the password ‘Timedox’
10. Select add Device and follow the screen prompts/
Download via the PC –USB
1. Connect your USB device to the port on the left side of your Time-clock.
2. Press-and-hold to display the main menu.
3. Select Data Mgt. and then select Download Attlog.
4. Wait for files to be downloaded to the device.
5. Connect the USB to the PC.

Setting the Timedox Excel File
1. Download the Timedox Excel file from the Timedox Support Page:
EmployeeReportManager_1.0.X.X.xls
(See Page 1 for intructions on accessing the support page)
2. Press .
3. Define the Company and Payroll Settings.
4. Import the attlog.log file from the Time-clock or the USB.
5. Enter the employees' names and hourly rates.
6. Save.
7. Import the attlog.log file again and verify that all the changes are saved.
