1 . Operating features of the instrument
PRESET - Main function: Preset recall (default value 0.000)
DATA - Data transmission
Main function of the preset recall can be attributed to the sending of data by using the FUNC menu (see chap. 3).
- Preset value
Preset value other than 0.000 can be set using RS232.
- Personalising the functions
It is possible to activate or de-activate certain functions of the instrument via RS232 (see chap. 6).
- Data transmission parameters
4800 Baud connection, 7 bits, even parity, 2 stop bits.

The dial gauge goes automatically into stand-by if not used for 10 minutes. the value of the origin is retained by the sensor,
and the instrument automatically restarts with any movement of the measurement probe, button action or RS232 command.
The instrument can be switched o completely for a long period of non-use, but this will necessitate a zero reset on restart
(the origin will be lost): prolonged press (>6 s) on button until OFF is displayed.

5. Re-initialising the instrument
All settings (unit and measuring direction) will remain after a battery change. The initial instrument settings can be restored
at any time by a prolonged press (>12 s) on button until the message is displayed.
6. Personalising the instrument
Access to the functions of your instrument can be personalised, for more information see manufacturer’s website (requires
you to connect your instrument via a Power RS / USB cable).
It is possible to activate or deactivate the required functions
7. Connecting the instrument
The instrument can be connected to a peripheral via a power (RS or USB) cable. See page 3 for connecting the Power
cable.
Measured values can be transmitted and the instrument driven using predened retro-commands (see chap. 8 for a list of
the main commands).
