themaximum(MAX)reading.Pressthebuttonmomentarily
againtoreleasetheMAXdisplayandreturntothenormal
operatingmode.Pressandholdthisbuttonforatleast2seconds
toswitchbetweenLUXandfc(footcandle)unitsofmeasure.
Notethat1fc=10.76LUX).
3. LCDBacklightControlSensor:ThemeterswitchestheLCD
backlightONandOFFautomaticallybasedonenvironmental
lightingconditions.

Pressthebuttontoturnpoweronoroff.Ifthedisplaydoesnotswitchon,checkthata9Vbatteryis
installedandisfresh.
SelectingLUXorFootcandle(fc)unitsofmeasure
PressandholdtheMAX‐LUX/fcbuttonforatleast2secondstoswitchbetweenLUXandFcunits.
MeasurementProcedure
1. SwitchthemeterONandpositionthelightsensortocapturethelightthatistobemeasured.
2. ThedisplaywillindicatethelightlevelinFcorLUXunits.
3. Themeterautomaticallyselectsthecorrectrange.Ifthe‘OL’iconappears,thelightmeasurementisout
ofrangeandcannotbemeasuredaccurately.
4. Ifthex10orx100indicatorappears,multiplythedisplayedvaluebythecorrespondingmultiplierto
obtainthecorrectmeasurementvalue.

MomentarilypresstheMAX‐LUX/fcbuttontoviewthehighestreading(MAX)encounteredsincethemeter
waslastswitchedON.Pressthebuttonagaintoreturntothenormaloperatingmode.ToresettheMAX
reading,switchthemeterOFFandthenONagain.
LCDBacklight
ThemeterautomaticallycontrolstheLCDbacklighting(ONandOFF)tomatchtheavailableambientlighting.

BatteryReplacement
Whenthebatterypowerbeginstofail,thelowbatterysymbolwillappearontheLCD.Replacethe9V
batterybyfollowingthesesteps.
1. Opentherearbatterycompartmenttoaccessthebattery
2. Replacethe9Vbattery,carefullysecuringthebatteryinthecompartment
3. Securelyfastenthecompartmentcover
4. Ensurethatthecompartmentcoverissecurelyfastenedbeforeusingthemeter
AllEUusersarelegallyboundbytheBatteryOrdinancetoreturnallusedbatteriestocommunity
collectionpointsorwhereverbatteries/accumulatorsaresold.
Disposalinhouseholdtrashorrefuseisprohibited.
Disposal:Followthevalidlegalstipulationsinrespectofthedisposalofthedeviceattheendofits
lifecycle
