Bei Schneelagen von über 1,5 Meter können
Schneepflüge die Bahnstrecken nicht mehr frei-
räumen. In diesen Fällen kommen Schneeschleu-
dern zum Einsatz. Das Vorbild des Trix-Modells,
die Dampfschneeschleuder Bauart Henschel, kann
Schneeverwehungen bis zu einer Höhe von
6 Meter beseitigen. Um diese gewaltige Leistung
zu ermöglichen, wird der auf der Schneeschleuder
im Dampfkessel erzeugte Dampf ausschließlich
zum Antrieb des Schleuderrades verwendet.
Da die Schneeschleuder keinen eigenen Fortbe-
wegungsantrieb besitzt, muss sie zusammen mit
dem zu ihr gehörenden Tender durch eine oder
mehrere Schublokomotiven gegen den Schnee
gedrückt werden.
Die Auswurfrichtung wird durch die Drehrichtung
des Schleuderrades und durch eine bewegliche
Leitschaufel bestimmt. Durch bewegliche Seiten-
flügel stellt sich die Dampfschneeschleuder auf das
jeweilige Lichtraumprofil ein. Die Kohle im Tender
wird dabei durch Abdeckklappen gegen die Nässe
des weggeschleuderten Schnees geschützt.
When snow depths exceed 1.5 meters (5 feet),
snow plows cannot clear railroad track right of way.
Rotary snow plows are used in these situations.
The prototype of the Trix model, the Henschel
design steam powered rotary snow plow, can
clear snowdrifts up to a depth of 6 meters (approx.
20 feet). The steam produced in the snow plow’s
steam boiler is used exclusively to power the rotary
snow plow wheel to enable this enormous output.
Since the rotary snow plow has no locomotion
system of its own, it must be pushed along with
its tender against the snow by one or several
locomotives.
The direction of throw is determined by the rotation
of the plow wheel and by a movable guide blade.
The rotary snow plow maintains the appropriate
loading gauge by means of movable side wings.
The coal in the tender is protected by hatches
against the moisture of the flying snow.

Face à des chutes de neige dépassant 1,5 m, les
chasse-neige ne parviennent plus à dégager les
voies ferrées. Dans ce cas on utilise une fraise
à neige à vapeur. Le modèle Trix reproduit cette
fraise à neige construite par Henschel, capable
d’éliminer des congères atteignant 6 mètres. Pour
réaliser cette performance, la vapeur produite
dans la chaudière est exclusivement réservée à
l’entraînement de la fraise.
Comme cet engin ainsi que son tender ne possède
pas de propulsion propre, une ou plusieurs locomo-
tives doivent le pousser contre la neige.
Le sens d’évacuation est déterminé par l’orientation
de panneaux déflecteurs réglables. Des ailettes
latérales mobiles permettent à la machine de
s’adapter au volume de neige à déplacer. Au cours
de l’opération, le charbon du tender est protégé par
des couvercles l’isolant de la neige projetée.

In die gevallen komen sneeuwruimers in actie. Het
voorbeeld van het Trix-model, de stoomsneeu-
wruimer type Henschel, kan sneeuwophopingen

geweldige prestatie te kunnen leveren, wordt de
stoom uit de stoomketel op de sneeuwruimer uits-
luitend voor de aandrijving van de rotor gebruikt.
Omdat de sneeuwruimer geen eigen aandrijving
voor de voortbeweging heeft, moet hij samen met
zijn tender door een of meer duwende locomotieven
tegen de sneeuw aangedrukt worden.
De uitwerprichting wordt door de draairichting
van de rotor en door een beweegbare geleiding
bepaald. Door beweegbare zijvleugels wordt de
stoomsneeuwruimer op het juiste profiel van vrije
ruimte ingesteld. De kolen in de tender worden
door afdekkleppen tegen het vocht van de wegge-
worpen sneeuw beschermd.

Funktion
• Mögliche Betriebssysteme: Gleichstrom nach NEM
(± 12 Volt =), DCC System (nach NMRA-Norm),
Trix Systems.
• Selectrix-Betrieb: Central Control 2000 muss auf
DCC-Betrieb für diesen Zug umgeschaltet werden.
• Dieses Modell ist wie das Vorbild ohne eigenen
Antrieb. Passende Schublokomotiven sind z.B.
Schlepptenderlokomotiven.
• Motorisch angetriebenes Schleuderrad, Drehrich-
tung nach rechts. Drehgeschwindigkeit abhängig
von der Versorgungsspannung am Gleis.
• Rauchgenerator nachrüstbar (dauernd eingeschal-
tet).
• Funktionsfähiger Arbeitsscheinwerfer. Intensität
abhängig von der Versorgungsspannung am Gleis.
Nur im Betrieb mit Trix Systems oder DCC:
• Drehrichtung des Schleuderrads im Digitalbetrieb
wählbar.
• Eingebaute Geräuschelektronik mit Betriebsge-
räusch.
• Geräusch einer Pfeife schaltbar.
• Einstellen verschiedener Parameter (Adresse,
Höchstgeschwindigkeit, Anfahrverzögerung, Brems-
verzögerung, Lautstärke). Eingestellte Adresse ab
Werk: 03.
Die bei normalem Betrieb anfallenden Wartungsarbei-
ten sind nachfolgend beschrieben. Für Reparaturen
oder Ersatzteile wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Trix-
Fachhändler.
Jegliche Garantie-, Gewährleistungs- und Schadensersatzansprüche
sind ausgeschlossen, wenn in Trix-Produkten nicht von Trix freige-
gebene Fremdteile eingebaut werden und / oder Trix-Produkte um-
gebaut werden und die eingebauten Fremdteile bzw. der Umbau für
sodann aufgetretene Mängel und / oder Schäden ursächlich war. Die
Darlegungs- und Beweislast dafür, dass der Einbau von Fremdteilen
oder der Umbau in bzw. von Trix-Produkten für aufgetretene Mängel
und/oder Schäden nicht ursächlich war, trägt die für den Ein- und /
oder Umbau verantwortliche Person und/ oder Firma bzw. der Kunde.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Das Modell darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten
Betriebssystem eingesetzt werden.
• Das Modell darf nicht mit mehr als einer Leistungs-
quelle gleichzeitig versorgt werden.
• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise in
der Gebrauchsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebssystem.

Function
• Possible operating systems: NEM direct current
(±12 volts DC), DCC System (NMRA standard),
Trix Systems.
• Selectrix operation: Central Control 2000 must be
set for DCC operation for this train.
• This model is similar to the original, without its own
drive. Appropriate trailing locomotives are locomoti-
ves with accompanying tenders, for example.
• Snowplow blade wheel powered by a motor.
• Blade wheel rotates to the right. Speed of the blade
wheel depends on the voltage present in the track.

normal operation is described below. Please see your
authorized Trix dealer for repairs or spare parts.
No warranty or damage claims shall be accepted in those cases
where parts neither manufactured nor approved by Trix have
been installed in Trix products or where Trix products have been
converted in such a way that the non-Trix parts or the conversion
were causal to the defects and / or damage arising. The burden
of presenting evidence and the burden of proof thereof, that the
installation of non-Trix parts or the conversion in or of Trix products

Fonction

courant continu selon NEM (± 12 volts =); système
digital multitrain DCC (selon normes NMRA),
Trix Systems.

si des pièces non autorisées par Trix sont intégrées

montées ou la transformation constituent la cause des
défauts et/ou dommages apparus. C’est à la personne

Werking
• Geschikte bedrijfssystemen: gelijkstroom volgens
NEM (± 12 Volt =), DCC-systeem (volgens NMRA-
norm), Trix Systems.
• Selectrix-bedrijf: Central Control 2000 dient voor het
besturen van deze trein op DCC-bedrijf ingesteld te
worden.
• Dit model heeft evenals het voorbeeld geen eigen
aandrijving. Bijpassende duwlocs zijn b.v. sleepten-
derlocomotieven.
• Door een motor aangedreven schoepenrad.
Draairichting rechtsom. Toerental afhankelijk van de
rijspanning op de rails.
• Rookgenerator in te bouwen (voortdurend ingescha-
keld).
• Brandende werkschijnwerper. Intensiteit afhankelijk
van de rijspanning op de rails.
Alleen in het bedrijf met de Trix Systems of DCC:
• De draairichting van het schoepenrad kan bij di-
gitaalbedrijf omgekeerd worden.
• Ingebouwde geluidselektronica met bedrijfsgelui-
den.
• Geluid van de fluit schakelbaar.
• Verschillende instelbare locparameters (adres, ma-
ximumsnelheid, optrek-vertraging, afremvertraging,
geluidsvolume). Vanaf de fabriek ingesteld adres: 03.
De bij normaal gebruik noodzakelijke onderhoudspun-
ten worden verderop beschreven. Voor reparaties en
onderdelen kunt zich tot Uw Trix handelaar wenden.
Elke aanspraak op garantie en schadevergoeding is uitgesloten,
wanneer in Trix-producten niet door Trix vrijgegeven vreemde on-
derdelen ingebouwd en / of Trix-producten omgebouwd worden en
de ingebouwde vreemde onderdelen resp. de ombouw oorzaak van
nadien opgetreden defecten en / of schade was. De aantoonplicht
en de bewijslijst daaromtrent, dat de inbouw van vreemde onder-
delen in Trix-producten of de ombouw van Trix-producten niet de
oorzaak van opgetreden defecten en / of schade is geweest, berust
bij de voor de inbouw en / of ombouw verantwoordelijke persoon
en / of firma danwel bij de klant.
Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• De loc mag alleen met een daarvoor bestemd bedri-
jfssysteem gebruikt worden.
• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan één stroomvoorzie-
ning gelijktijdig gevoed worden.
• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften in
de gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.

velocidad máxima, arranque progresivo, frenado pro-

A continuación están relacionados los trabajos de
mantenimiento necesarios para un funcionamiento
normal. En caso de precisar una reparación o piezas
de recambio, rogamos ponerse en contacto con su
distribuidor Trix.

Funzionamento
• Possibili sistemi di funzionamento: corrente con-
tinua secondo norme NEM (± 12 volt =), sistema
DCC (secondo norme NMRA), Trix Systems.
• Funzionamento Selectrix: per questo treno la
Central Control 2000 deve venire commutata al
funzionamento DCC.
• Questo modello, come l’originale, è privo di aziona-
mento proprio. Locomotive di spinta adeguate sono
ad es. le locomotive a tender separato.
• Girante centrifuga azionata per mezzo di un motore.
Senso di rotazione verso destra. Velocità di rotazi-
one dipendente dalla tensione di alimentazione sul
binario.
• Generatore di fumo equipaggiabile in seguito
(attivato costantemente).
• Fari di lavoro atti al funzionamento. Intensità dipen-
dente dalla tensione di alimentazione sul binario.
Solamente nel funzionamento con Trix Systems

Funktion
