This manual covers the following models:

P310-0110: For 1-Heat/1-Coot systems

P310-0210: For 2-Heat /1-Cool heat pump systems

(Remove the thermostat from its wallplate to find the model number.)

CAUTION: EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD.

To prevent possible compressor damage, do not use Cooling mode when the

outdoor temperature is below 50 °F (10 °C).

Screen

Lit for 12 seconds when

you press any button. Up/Down buttons

Press to adjust temperature

System switch (see page 4)

• Cool: System is in Cooling mode.

• Off: System is off.

• Heat: System is in Heating mode.

•Em Heat: System is in Emergency Heat mode.

Fan switch (see page 5)

• On: Fan runs continuously.

• Auto: Fan runs onlywhen heating or cooling is

activated.

System status

•Cool @ : Cooling is activated. *

• Heat 8 : Heating is activated. *

• Stg2: Auxiliary heat is activated. **

Setpoint indicator

Appears when the setpoint

temperature is displayed.

Temperature display

The ambient (measured)

temperature is normally

displayed. To view the

setpoint temperature, press

either of the temperature

adjustment buttons once.

The setpoint temperature

will appear for five seconds.

* If Heat 8 or Cool _ is flashing, compressor protection is engaged (see page 7).

** Applies to P310-0210 model only.

Use the System switch to place the system in

one of the following modes.

• Cool: System is in Cooling mode.

• Off: System is off.

• Heat: System is in Heating mode.

• Em Heat: System is in Emergency Heat

mode. Only auxiliary heating can be

activated. The compressor is disabled. (This

mode is available on the P310-0210 model

only.)

CAUTION: EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD

Do not use Cooling mode when the outdoor temperature is below 50 °F (10 °C).

Use the Fan switch to select the fan

operation.

•Auto: The fan runs only when heating

or cooling is actually taking place

(commonly used setting).

• On: The fan runs continuously. Use

this setting for improved air circulation

or for more efficient air cleaning.

Your thermostat has a feature that helps prevent damage to the compressor of

your air conditioning or heat pump system. Because damage can occur if the

compressor is restarted too soon after shutdown, this feature forces the

compressor to wait 5 minutes before restarting. During the wait time, the message

Cool e or Heat _ flashes on the screen. When the safe wait time has elapsed,

the message stops flashing and the compressor turns on.
