Rimage Producer II™ Operator

Replace a Quick-Release Recorder on an Amigo II

Use this procedure to replace a quick-release recorder in an Amigo II™.

Rimage approved parts must be used for this process. The product warranty may become void if parts not approved by Rimage are

used; equipment or parts are tampered with, misused, neglected, or modified in any respect without the written consent of Rimage.

Before you begin

1. Stop or pause all jobs.

2. Power off the external control center.

3. Power off the autoloader.

4. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet.

#Required tools:

•None required

Remove the Recorder

1. Open the front door.

2. Access the cables on the recorder to be replaced.

a. Gently squeeze together the recorder’s quick-

release tabs while the pulling the recorder out.

The recorder detaches from the system.

b. Using the tab on the left, pull the recorder out

until you can access the cables.

3. Disconnect the cables from the recorder.

•Power cable

•FireWire cable

-Important! Disconnect the cables at the

positions indicated. Do not allow the cables to

fall back into the system.

Tip: Loosen the tie wrap to remove the

FireWire cable.

Install the Recorder

1. From the front of the system, connect the cables to the replacement recorder.

•Power cable

•FireWire cable

-Important! Make sure that you tighten the tie wrap to secure the FireWire cable.

2. Insert the recorder into the system until it clicks into place.

Caution! If you feel resistance, make sure that th
