Olympus

System

Microscope

Model

BHS.

recommended

that

you

read

the

manual

carefully

order

familiarize

yourself

fully

with

the

use

the

microscope,

that

you

can

obtain

optimum

performance

from

it.

IMPORTANT

Observe

the

following

points:

Operation

Always

handle

the

microscope

with

the

care

deserves,

and

avoid

abrupt

motions.

Avoid

the

use

the

microscope

direct sunlight,

high

temperature

and

humidity,

dust

and

vibration.

Only

use

the

tension

adjustment

ring for

altering

the

tension

the

coarse

adjustment

knobs.

(Do

not

twist

the

two

coarse

adjustment

knobs

opposite

directions

simultaneous-

ly,

this

will

cause

damage.)

Make

sure

that

the

voltage

selector

switch

the

base

plate

set

conform

with

the

local

mains

voltage.

Make

point

grounding

the

microscope

prevent

electric

accidents.

Maintenance

Lenses

must

always

kept

clean.

Carefully

wipe

off

oil

fingerprints

deposited

the

lens

surfaces

with

gauze

moistened

with

small

amount

xylene, alcohol

ether.

use

organic solutions

wipe

the

surfaces

components.

Plastic

parts,

especially,

should

cleaned

with

neutral

detergent.

Never

disassemble

the

microscope

for

repair.

Only

authorized

Olympus

service

personnel

make

repairs.

humidity.
