Introduction
The 815EPT Pro and 815EPT Pro-R (MS-6337, V5.X) ATX mainboard
are high-performance computer mainboard ba ed on Intel® 815EP/815E
(re erved upon reque t) chip et . The MS-6337 UMB (Univer al Motherboard)
i optimized to upport the whole erie of new generation Intel® Pentium® III
(FC-PGA/FC-PGA2) proce or for high-end bu ine /per onal de ktop
market .
The Intel® 815E chip et integrate a Di play Cache SDRAM controller
that upport a 32-bit 133MHz SDRAM array for enhanced integrated 3D
graphic performance. It i a highly-flexible chip et which i de igned to extend
the ba ic graphic /multimedia PC platform up to the main tream performance
de ktop platform.
The Intel 815E/EP chip et contain two component : the 82815EP
Memory Controller Hub (MCH) and the 82801BA I/O Controller Hub 2 (ICH2).
The MCH integrate a 66/100/133-MHz, P6 family y tem bu controller , AGP
(2X/4X) di crete graphic card, 100/133-MHz SDRAM controller, and a high
peed accelerated hub architecture interface for communication with the ICH2.
The ICH2 integrate an UltraATA/100 controller, 2 USB ho t controller with a
total of 4 port , LPC interface controller, FWH interface controller, PCI inter-
face controller, AC97 digital link, integrated LAN controller, and a hub inter-
face for communication with the MCH.
