Information about the Prototype
The Ae 3/6II is a further development of the Be 3/5, no.
12 201, experimental locomotive built in 1919 by the Oerlikon
Machine Company. Between 1924 and 1926 60 Ae 3/6 II’s
were purchased by the Swiss Federal Railways for express
passenger service in areas with little change in elevation.
These units were originally built for a maximum speed of
90 km/h (56.25 m.p.h.), but were allowed a top speed of
100 km/h (62.5 m.p.h.) on the basis of favorable operating
experience. Two slow-running motors mounted in a rigid
locomotive frame power the driving wheels through two lay
shafts and drive rods. The hourly output of this locomotive is
1,470 kilowatts at 65 km/h (40.63 m.p.h.) and the continuous
output is 1,225 kilowatts at 75 km/h (46.88 m.p.h.).
After 1954 one door on the right side of both sides of the lo-
comotive was welded shut and the end doors and footplates
were removed.

Die Ae 3/6 II ist eine Weiterentwicklung der von der Ma-
schinenfabrik Oerlikon gebauten Probelokomotive Be 3/5
Nummer 12 201 von 1919. Zwischen 1924 und 1926 wurden
von den Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen 60 Ae 3/6 II für
den Flachland-Schnellzugdienst beschafft.
Aufgrund der günstigen Erfahrungen konnten die Maschi-
nen, die ursprünglich für eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von
90 km/h gebaut waren, für 100 km/h zugelassen werden.
Zwei im starren Lokomotivrahmen gelagerte, langsam
laufende Motoren treiben über zwei Vorlegewellen und
Triebstangen die Treibräder an. Die Stundenleistung dieser
Lokomotive beträgt 1.470 kW bei 65 km/h, die Dauerleistung
1.225 kW bei 75 km/h.
Nach 1954 wurden auf jeder Seite (in Fahrtrichtung rechts)
die eine Tür zugeschweißt und die Türen auf den Stirnseiten
inklusive Übergangsblech entfernt.

De Ae 3/6 II is een voortgaande ontwikkeling van de
proeflocomotief Be 3/5 nummer 12 201 uit 1919, die door
de Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon gebouwd is. Tussen 1924 en
1926 werden door de Schweizerische Bundesbahnen 60
stuks Ae 3/6 II voor de sneltreindienst in het vlakke land
aangeschaft.
Op grond van de gunstige ervaringen kregen de machines
die oorspronkelijk voor een maximum snelheid van 90 km/h
gebouwd waren, toestemming 100 km/h te rijden. Twee
langzaam lopende motoren die in het starre locomotief-
frame opgehangen zijn, drijven via twee tussenassen en
koppelstangen de drijfwielen aan. Het uurvermogen van
deze locomotief bedraagt 1470 kW bij 65 km/h, het continue
vermogen 1225 kW bij 75 km/h.
Na 1954 werden aan iedere zijde (in rijrichting gezien rechts)
een deur dichtgelast en de deuren in het front, inclusief de
overlooptreden, verwijderd.

La série Ae 3/6 II est le résultat d’etudes de développement
menées sur le prototype Be 3/5 12 201 de 1919 livrée par la
firme Oerlikon. Les chemins de fer suisses (CFF) ont acquis
de 1924 à 1926, 60 Ae 3/6 II pour assurer le trafic express sur
les lignes de plaine.
La vitesse maxima, initialement fixée à 90 km/h, a pu être
portée à 100 km/h. Deux moteurs à rotation lente sont logés
dans le châssis rigide de la motrice. Ils entraînent 2 faux-
essieux qui transmettent la puissance aux roues motrices
par des bielles. La puissance horaire de ces motrices est de
1 470 kW à 65 km/h alors que la puissance à régime perma-
nent est de 1 225 kW à 75 km/h.
Après 1954, une porte (celle de droite dans le sens de
marche) à été condamnée de chaque côte de la caisse. Il
en fut de même pour le portes d’extrémités et les plaques
d’intercirculation.

nicht geeignet.

effet, utiliser le set de déparasitage réf. 74046. Le set de
déparasitage ne convient pas pour l’exploitation en mode
numérique.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.
• Stel het model niet bloot aan in directe zonnestraling,
sterke temperatuurwisselingen of hoge luchtvochtigheid.
• Voor het conventionele bedrijf met de loc dient de
aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de
ontstoor-set 74046 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf
is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.
Algemene informatie
• De gebruiksaanwijzing en de verpakking zijn een be-
standdeel van het product en dienen derhalve bewaard
en meegeleverd te worden bij het doorgeven van het
product.
