1. Manual Information
This Bluetooth Connection Manual provides information on the connection of Bluetooth-
enabled iOS or Android Host devices with the printer.
We at BIXOLON maintain ongoing efforts to enhance and upgrade the functions and
quality of all our products. In following, product specifications and/or user manual content
may be changed without prior notice.
2. Precaitions
1) To connect the printer with another Host device via Bluetooth, the Host devices
must be within 100m of one another. The connection is broken if the distance between
devices exceeds 100m.
2) The maximum separating distance may be shortened if transmission obstacles, such
as cement walls, are present.
3) If a device (such as a microwave oven, wireless LAN, etc.) that uses the same
frequency is present, transmission may be interrupted. Separate the printer and
Bluetooth-enabled device from such interrupting devices by a distance of at least 5m.

This manual focuses on the use of the following Host devices.
For other Host devices, please refer to the relevant Host device manual.
3-1 PIN Code Paring Instruction
Use Pin Code for verification(Legacy Pairing) instead of SSP.
3-1-1 iOS Mode
1) Select the icon. 2) Select “Bluetooth”.

3) Select the printer to connect. 4) Enter Pin Code. (default: 0000).
5) Select “Pair”. 6) Bluetooth communication is available.

3-1-2 Android Mode
1) Select the icon. 2) Select “Bluetooth”.
3) Select the printer to connect. 4) Enter Pin Code. (default: 0000)

3-2 Just Works Paring Instruction
Designed for situation where one (or both) of the pairing Host device has neither a display
nor keyboard for entering digits (e.g. Bluetooth headset). it does not verify any for pairing.

3-3 Numeric Comparison Paring Instruction
Numeric Comparison : Designed for situation where Host device and printer are capable of
displaying a six-digit number and allowing user to enter “yes” or “no” response for pairing.
*This function is supported on LCD model only.
3-3-1 iOS Mode
1) Select the icon. 2) Select “Bluetooth”.
3) Select the printer to connect. 4) Check the code on the Host device.
