Stand-alone Operation
yChange receiver’s settings without writing software
¾DIP switches set configuration register values
¾Embedded firmware (ATmega8515) programs registers
yExample: Change modulation to ASK
¾Set DATA selector switch on IFB to STK511
¾Set OPMODE register DIP switch # 5 to “ON” position
¾Verify “Mod” LED is illuminated (indicating ASK)
¾Press “CONFIGURE” button to program registers

General Setup
yStand-alone Operation (RAB to IFB Assembly)
¾Align signal pins of RAB near DIP switches on IFB
¾Align “+” and “GND” test points of RAB near DATA
switch on IFB
¾Insert RAB into 12-pin header connectors on IFB
¾Apply +5V supply to “+” and “GND” test points of RAB
yOperation with STK500 (RAB/IFB Assembly to STK500)
¾Align EXPAND0 and EXPAND1 pin headers of IFB & STK500
¾Insert IFB into STK500 (don’t pinch ribbon cables!)
¾Use VTARGET of STK500 sourced through EXPAND0/1
