Dolby Digital equipped for the RT-2300 / RT-2400 can reproduce realistic sound in your

listening room. Now start setting up your brand-new receiver.

Connect the components

Connect the speakers, TV and video component equipped with Dolby Digital decoder, for example, DVD player

with Dolby Digital. (For connections of other audio/video components, refer to user manual.)

* You can connect the DVD player to the receiver via coaxial, optical or analog cables, but to enjoy Dolby

Digital sound, coaxial or optical cable connection is necessary.

Plug the AC power cord into a standard

household 120V AC outlet. Right after you

plugged in the power, a demo message

will be appeared in display.

Turn on the Power

Press the Power/Standby Button on the receiver

or the On/Off button on the remote to turn on or

off the receiver.

Turn on your DVD player to play a Dolby Digital DVD.

Press DVD button.

DVD

Press Multi Jog once. DIGITAL will be shown on

display. Rotate to select your connection to DVD

player. Alternatively you can press Digital button

repeatedly until the connection appears on display.

The receiver will now automatically shift to Dolby Digital surround mode.

The display will show AUTO DET .

Press Test Tone / Setup button for two seconds. LL//RRSSMMLLwill be shown on

display. Press Test Tone / Setup repeatedly until one of the following shows on

the display:

Note: You can skip this part if you purchase the home theater system with speakers and subwoofer

as the receiver has been already calibrated.

Speaker Delay Time Control

Note: If the distance from your listening point to the center/surround speaker is equal to that to the

front speaker, set 0 ms. Increase the delay time as the distance to the center/surround speaker becomes

shorter.

Set Night Mode (optional)

Press NIGHT button to set the Dynamic Range of different

sound (like the difference in volume between

normal voices and sounds like explosion) if you are

watching a DVD at night. There are two modes

(SOFT, SOFTER) for you to choose in terms of the

extend of compression.

Set Speaker Output Levels

Press Test Tone / Setup on receiver or

INFO•RDS button on receiver momentarily.

A test tone will be generated in each of the speakers.

Rotate the Multi Jog or the left

and right arrow buttons beside

OK in remote to adjust the level

of individual speakers.

confirm your choice.
