一、Product introduction

A comparison microscope is a new type of microscope that uses a set of eyepieces to

simultaneously observe the left and right object fields of view, and uses the methods of field

cutting, docking, and overlapping to compare two (or more than two) objects. The instrument

has clear imaging and high resolution, and can accurately identify the subtle differences

between the objects being compared. WBY-18C has superior optical performance, complete

comparison functions, and can meet the needs of comparison work in different occasions, so it

has a wide range of applications. This product is an ideal instrument for the public security,

procuratorate, courts and colleges to compare and detect bullets, tool marks, fingerprints,

seals, words, patterns, currency, etc. It is also suitable for electronics, biochemistry, agriculture,

archaeology, banking, All industries and departments that require comparative detection or

identification of objects, such as customs.

二、Basic parameters

1. Left or right single field of view, overlapping field of view and smooth field of view can be

divided and docked observation, and there is a diaphragm-type ridge line consistency

adjustable device.

2. Objective lens: Five-speed vertical zoom parfocal objective lens 0.8X, 1.25X, 2X, 3.2X,

4.8X fixed magnification zoom operation is reliable and obvious;

3. Stage: manual control, the adjustment mechanism is stable and reliable, with

self-protection function. The unilateral movement range of the stage Movement range:

X-axis 55mm, Y-axis 55mm, Z-axis 65mm; the horizontal linkage range of the left and right

4. Lighting system: Using the latest capacitive touch screen, strong light-reflecting halogen

四、Instrument installation and focusing

1．installation, focus

1）Fit the binocular head (10) and insert the same required eyepieces (15) into the two

tubes of the binocular head.

2）Insert one end of the power cord into the power socket on the back of the base, and

connect the other end with a grounded 220V power supply.

3）Press the main power switch (1).

4）Place the specimen and sample on the two stage surfaces.

5）Turn the left and right magnification adjustment knobs (8), so that the left and right

systems are in the same objective lens magnification state.

6）Turn the coarse motion linkage lift knob (3) and observe through the eyepiece until the

image of the object placed on the table is observed. Then turn the left and right stage lift

knobs (5) until the two images are equally clear. If the ridge line (split line) in the field of

view is not clear, turn the eyepiece diopter circle to adjust the diopter.

五、Function and Operation

In order to obtain the best use effect of the instrument, it is necessary to have a detailed

understanding of the functions of each part of the instrument, and master the adjustment or

operation methods.

1．Operation of the stage: rotating the handwheel (5), (21), (22) the stage can move left and

right, front and rear, and up and down respectively; the table can be rotated 360º; the table

can be tilted by a certain angle; The horizontal linkage knob (4) enables the linkage of the

two stages.

2．Adjustment of the light source: The light source is 12V50W halogen tungsten lamp, there

is a micro cooling fan behind the lamp holder, the lamp holder can be rotated around the

stage to any direction; the illumination angle of the lamp on the table can be changed with

the help of the lamp bracket; press the button on the touch panel. The light intensity

adjustment key can change the light intensity of the lamp; the plug socket can be inserted

into the color filter.

Note: If you find that the bulb does not light up, unscrew the socket, take out the bulb to

check or replace it with a new bulb.

3. The light control panel (2) has left and right LED ring lights, left and right strong light

reflector lights, left and right LED reflector lights switching and dimming buttons.

4．Selection and adjustment of magnification: Before the instrument works, the left and right

objective lenses should be placed in the same magnification file; the objective lens

magnification can be changed by rotating the magnification adjustment knob (8). If you

need to obtain a large field of view, you can screw the 0.4X additional objective lens

(optional) into the screw holes at the lower end of the two zoom objective lenses, and then

refocus.

In order to make the magnification of the left and right objective lenses strictly consistent,

the user needs to perform micro-adjustment of the magnification. The adjustment operation

is as follows: Put the magnification correction plate on the left and right stage respectively,

observe the reticle through the eyepiece, and adjust the focus to make the two reticle

images. The same is clear, move the magnification correction plate so that the reticle is

aligned accordingly. If the magnifications of the two objective lenses are inconsistent, the

reticle in the inspection cannot be all aligned. At this time, rotate the magnification

correction wheel (17) clockwise or counterclockwise to fine-tune the objective lens

magnification. , re-focus until the reticle image is clear, and move the magnification

correction plate to align the reticle again. Repeat this several times to make the left and

right objective lens magnification strictly consistent. The objective lens magnification is

adjusted in the same steps.

5. Adjustment of field of view cutting and comparison ridges: Rotating the field of view

adjustment handwheel (9) can move the comparison ridges continuously, so as to realize

single field of view, cutting field of view, and overlapping field of view observation; Insert

color filters of different colors into the side sockets for better result.

The comparative ridgeline should be a thin, black line. If the ridgeline is wider (that is,

the two ridgelines are parallel and overlapping) and the two ridgelines are crossed or

scissors-shaped (as shown in the figure), the ridgeline needs to be adjusted precisely.

Turning the left screw can change the direction of the ridgeline to eliminate cross or

scissors; turning the right screw can change the width of the ridgeline and make the two

ridgelines close together. The basic steps of adjustment are as follows：

1. Take out the left and right protective caps behind the bridge.

2. Use the provided wrench to turn the left gong wire until the two ridges are parallel.

3. Turn the right gong wire to adjust the thickness of the ridgeline.

4. If the ridge line is still not ideal, repeat steps 2) and 3) until the desired effect is

achieved.

5. Put on the protective cap.

6．Correct use of binocular head: The pupillary distance and diopter indication are marked

on the binocular head respectively. Pulling the lens barrel can change the interpupillary

distance to suit the pupil distance of the observer's eyes; rotating the screw sleeve on the

binocular lens barrel can adjust the diopter, and the observer can adjust the diopter.

Both eyes can clearly see the thin and black comparative ridges.

7．Application of polarized light (optional), coaxial light (optional), transmitted illumination

(optional): to compare some objects and traces (such as scratch marks), using polarized

light will get better results. Install the polarizer and the analyzer on the insert seat and the

screw under the objective lens respectively, adjust the lighting lamp, rotate the analyzer,

and change the polarization angle until a better polarized light irradiation effect is obtained.

Some objects, such as deep holes, are better illuminated by coaxial lighting on

smooth surfaces. As long as the coaxial light device is screwed into the screw hole below

the objective lens, and the illumination angle and height of the reflector lamp are adjusted,

so that the light emitted by the reflector lamp can directly hit the reflector on the coaxial light

device horizontally, and then the coaxial light illumination can be realized.

Certain objects, such as photographic film, transparent or translucent objects, require

the use of transmitted illumination.

8．Photography and photography: Usually, the instrument is in a state of simultaneous

observation of visual and videography. If you need to take pictures, put the camera into the

camera (photography) adapter (external), install the camera's driver CD, and then insert the

USB port into the computer, adjust the camera properly, and then take pictures. If you want

to take pictures, first pull the switch lever (16) out, and then put the camera with bayonet

into the camera adapter, and make slight adjustments to the shooting scene through the

camera viewfinder, then you can take pictures.

9．Use of the holder: For example, when observing the inspection materials such as

document inspection, you can directly place the paper on the stage for observation; the

trace inspection material cannot be placed directly on the worktable, and a clamping device

needs to be used. The specific use is as follows.：

七、Maintenance and care of the instrument

1、The instrument should be placed in a dry, ventilated, dust-free, acid-alkali, and vapor-free

room, and a dust cover should be covered after each use.

2、Keep the surface of the optical lens clean and do not touch the lens with your hands. If

there is dust on the surface of the optical lens, it can be blown off with a blower, and the

oil can be gently wiped off with a lens paper dipped in a small amount of xylene.

3、The power supply must have a ground wire during installation.

4、After power on, check whether the fuse is in good condition (the fuse is at the power

input socket).

5、Replacement of the spare lamp is shown in the figure：
