NetComm NB3 User manual

NB3 Bridge Setup

Bridge configuration for your NB3 allows you to disable the routing function within the NB3.

This can be useful especially if you require to use the NB3 on a single PC and bypass the

NAT firewall for a live connection, or if you plan to use your NB3 in conjunction with a

separate Router.

You will need to perform this operation from the default settings as per below.

1) Log on to the Quick Configuration page as per Video Guides.

2) Simply change the

-Encapsulation to 1483 Bridged IP LLC

-VPI and VCI to 8and 35

-Bridge to Enabled

-IGMP to Enabled

-Default Route to Disabled

-Then click Submit.

If you are using USB, please follow the next step

-Click on the Bridging tab

-Select usb-0

-Click Add

Saving your settings

Regardless of the changes you make to your NB3 modem, if you want your settings to be

permanent you will need to commit the settings and reboot the modem. To perform this

operation, follow the outlined procedure (also refer to the picture):-

-Select the Admin tab.

-Click on the Commit and Reboot link.

-Click on the Commit button and wait until the page returns.

You can now connect the NB3 into your PC or router.
