Quick Start Guide
for heat pump tumble dryer
T 7950 WP
These short instructions are not a substitute
for the Operating instructions supplied with the appliance.
Please read the Operating instructions supplied with
your tumble dryer before using it for the first time and
take note of the Warning and Safety instructions as well
as the full descriptions on how to use your machine. M.-Nr. 09 355 310

APreparing the laundry
,Make sure that objects, e.g.
detergent dispensing balls, have
been removed from the laundry.
^Sort the laundry (e.g. according to
the drying level required, the type of
fibre or weave).
Pay attention to the manufacturers'
information on the care labels:
sDo not tumble dry.
r/qSuitable for all programmes.
BSwitch on the tumble dryer with
the jk button.
CLoad the tumble dryer
^Press the Door button and open the
door.
^Load the laundry loosely into the
drum.
^Close the door.
Check the laundry is right inside the
drum so that it cannot get trapped or
damaged when the door is shut.
DTurn the programme selector
–The relevant indicator light will come
on.
–Indicator lights for drying levels or
Extra options and times may also be
displayed.
Programmes with drying levels
–Cottons, Minimum iron, Proofing,
Express, Automatic plus, Denim and
Shirts
^Press the button repeatedly until the
relevant indicator light comes on
(with almost all programmes).
Brief instructions
Warm air programme
^Press the Delay start button
repeatedly until the required time
appears in the display: 20 minutes up
to 2:00 hours.
ESelecting Extras / Delay start (if
required)
^By pressing the relevant button, you
can select:
Buzzer, Gentle tumble (for items
which are not suitable for drying with
a great deal of mechanical action).
^Press the Delay start button
repeatedly until the required time
appears in the display:
–30 minutes up to 24 hours.
– Delay start is not possible in
combination with Warm air.
FStart the programme by pressing
the Start button
The indicator light for the Start button
will go from flashing to constantly
lighting up.
Perfect Dry only flashes/illuminates
during programmes with drying levels.
It remains dark during the following
programmes: Woollens, Warm air,
Gentle smoothing.
GRemoving the laundry at the end of
the programme
0and Finished will appear in the
display to indicate that the programme
has finished. The buzzer (if selected)
will sound at intervals.
^Press the Door button and open the
door.
^Remove the laundry.
^Switch off the tumble dryer with the
jk button.
^Clean the fluff filters.
^Close the door.
^Empty the condensed water
container.

Gentle tumble
Able to be selected with the
following programmes:
Cottons, Minimum iron, Shirts, Denim, Warm
air.
Buzzer
Able to be selected with all programmes.

Cottons Max. load: 7 kg*
Extra dry, Normal**
Fabric

Single and multi-layered cotton fabrics such as
towelling, jerseywear, T-shirts, underwear.
Notes – Select Extra dry for multi-layered and very thick fabrics.
– Do not use Extra dry for loopknit fabrics (e.g. T-shirts, underwear),
as they have a tendency to shrink.
Hand iron**, Machine iron
Fabric

Cotton and linen fabrics. For example: table linen, bed linen, starched
laundry.
Note To prevent laundry from drying out, it should be rolled up until you are
ready for ironing.
Minimum iron Max. load: 3.5 kg*
Normal**, Hand iron

Minimum iron items made of cotton, synthetic or mixed fibres. For
example: dresses, trousers, skirts or table cloths.

** Note for test institutes:
Use this programme without selecting any Extra options for testing according to
EN 61121 standard.

Proofing Max. load: 2 kg*
Fabric

For drying microfibre fabrics, ski wear, fine, closeweave cotton
garments (poplin) or tablecloths which are suitable for drying in a
tumble dryer and have been treated to provide a water and dirt
resistant finish.
Notes –This programme contains an extra fixing phase for proofing.
–Only use proofing agents which are stated by the manufacturer as
being "suitable for use on membrane textiles" as these contain
fluorochemical compounds.
–Do not dry items which have been treated with proofing agents
containing paraffin. Fire hazard!
Woollens Max. load: 2 kg*

– Remove garments immediately at the end of the programme.

–"Voluminous" and multi-layered fabrics whose layers have different
drying characteristics: e.g. jackets, pillows.
–For drying individual items, e.g. bath towels, swimwear, tea towels
and small loads.
Note Do not select the longest drying time to start with. Check the items as
you are drying them to find the optimum time.
Tip Use Warm air to eliminate or reduce unwanted smells in clean cotton
clothing (Duration: 1/2-1 hour). Dampen the garments a little
beforehand or add a fabric conditioner sheet. The Warm air
programme will not be as effective at removing odours from any parts
of the garments which are made of synthetic fibres.
Gentle smoothing Max. load: 1 kg*

– Cotton and linen fabrics.
– Minimum iron items made of cotton, synthetic or mixed fibres. For
example: trousers, anoraks, shirts.
Notes – Suitable for dry and damp laundry/fabrics.
Dry fabrics are time-controlled and damp fabrics are smoothed
using the Hand iron function.
– Smoothes out creasing caused during the spin cycle in the
washing machine.
– Remove garments as soon as the programme has finished so that
they are easy to iron.
