WHAT YOU NEED To KNOW ABOUT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning and Important Safety Instructions appearing in this manual are not

meant to cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur.

Common sense, caution, and care must be exercised when installing,

maintaining or operating appliance.

Always contact your manufacturer about problems or conditions you do not

understand.

WARNING -Hazards or unsafe practices which COULD result in severe

personal injury or death.

CAUTION - Hazards or unsafe practices which COULD result in minor

_ersonal injury.

Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and

liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS

•Do not try to light any appliance.

• Do not touch any electrical switch.

• Do not use any phone in your building.

• Clear the room, building or area of all occupants.

• Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's phone.

Follow the gas supplier's instructions.

•If you cannot reach your gas supplier,call the fire department.

Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer,

service agency or the gas supplier.

2. Read all instructions before using the appliance.

To avoid the possibility of fire or explosion:

a. Do not dry items that have been previously cleaned in,washed in,

soaked in, or spored with gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, other

flammable or explosive substances asthey give off vapors that could

ignite or explode. Any material on which you have used a cleaning

solvent, or which is saturated with flammable liquids or solids, should

not be placed in the dryer, until all traces of these flammable

liquids or solids and their fumes have been

removed. There are many highly flammable items

used in homes, such as: acetone, denatured

alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, some liquid household

cleaners, some spot removers, turpentine, waxes

and wax removers.

b. Items containing foam rubber (may be labeled

latex foam) or similarly textured rubber-like

materials must not be dried on a heat setting.

Foam rubber materials when heated, can under

certain circumstances produce fire by

spontaneous combustion.

3. Do not allow children to play on or in the appliance.

Close supervision of children is necessary when the

appliance is used near children.

4. Before the appliance is removed from service or

discarded, remove the door to the drying

compartment.

S. Do not reach into the appliance if the drum is

moving.

6. Do not install or store this appliance where it will be

exposed to the weather.

7. Do not tamper with controls.

&Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance or

attempt any servicing unless specifically recommended

in published user-repair instructions that you

understand and have the skills to carry out.

9. Do not use fabric softeners or products to eliminate

static unless recommended for dryer use by the

manufacturer of the fabric softener or product.

0. Clean the lint screen before or after each load.

I. Keep the area around the exhaust opening and

surrounding areas free from lint accumulation, dust

and dirt.

2.The interior of the dryer and exhaust duct should be

cleaned periodically by qualified service personnel.

3.This appliance must be properly grounded. Never plug

the appliance cord into a receptacle which is not

grounded adequately and in accordance with local and

national codes. See installation instructions for

grounding this appliance.

14.Do not sit on top of the clothes dryer.

The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement

Act of 1986 (Proposition 65) requires the Governor of

California to publish a list of substances known to the State

of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm, and

requires businesses to warn customers of potential

exposures to such substances.

Users of this appliance are hereby warned that the burning

of gas can result in low-level exposure to some of the listed

substances, including benzene, formaldehyde, and soot, due

primarily to the incomplete combustion of natural gas or

liquid petroleum (LP) fuels. Exhaust ducts should be kept

free of obstructions and properly exhausted dryers will

minimize exposure.

PERATING TIPS

After each load.

To shorten drying time.

To operate more energy efficiently.

By placing only one wash load in the dryer at a time.

Avoid very small loads or mixing heavyweight and lightweight

clothes.

When only one or two articles need drying, add a few similar items

to improve tumbling and drying efficiency.

When drying large, bulky items such as a blanket or comforter, it

may be necessary to reposition the load during the cycle to ensure

even drying.

After loading the dryer.

To control static cling.

Before the load becomes warm.This helps prevent greasy-looldng

softener stains.

And remove any used softener sheets from the dryer to prevent

greasy-looldng softener stains.

ETTING SENSOR DRY

If there are no words on the touchscreen, open the door, touch any pad (except off), or touch the screen to "wake" the controls.

"sensor dry" - automatically senses the moisture in the load and shuts the dryer off when the selected dryness level (very dry to

damp dry) is reached.This cycle is recommended for the majority of loads including delicates, wrinlde free and cotton/sturdy items

like towels, bedding and jeans.

Step

Select "sensor dry". The next screen will be the Review

Screen. If the selections are correct, press Start/Pause.

If changes need to be made, follow the next steps.

Step

Select dryness level. The dryness level ranges

from very dry to damp dry. Select the level

appropriate for the load. The "normal

dry" level will be used for most loads.

very dry - used to compHetely dry sturdy or bulky items

including towels and ieans.

more dry - uses slightly less time to dry than very dry with

similar results. May find some blue iean seams slightly damp.

normam dry - used for drying the maiority of loads.

messdry - still provides the benefit of the load being slightly

damp, but items will dry faster once they are laid flat or hung

to dry.

damp dry - designed to partially dry items. Used for items

that lay flat or hang to dry.

regular - for sturdy cottons or those labeled "Tumble Dry."

medium - for permanent press, synthetics, lightweight

cottons or items labeled "Tumble Dry Medium."

delicate - for heat sensitive items labeled "Tumble Dry

Low" or "Tumble DryWarm."

extra low - Provides the lowest heated dry temperature

possible."Extra Low Temperature" is lower than "Delicate."

Select appropriate temperature; "regular",

medium , delicate or "extra low". Cont.

Review Screen -The Review Screen lists the selected

settings. At this point you may press Start/Pause to

begin drying the load or select "options" for further

customization of the drying cycle.

Review Screen -The review screen will appear

once again to verify your selections. If they are

correct, press Start/Pause. If they are incorrect,

press the area you would like to change.

Step

Options Screen -The option choices on the left turn the options on

or off. The option choices on the right show an additional screen with

multiple choices. The following options may be added to customize

your "sensor dry" cycle:

•"wrinkle prevent" - Intermittent tumble in room temperature air

for up to 95 minutes following the dry cycle.

• "damp dry chime" - Chimes when load reaches damp dry state.

• "remind chime" - Chimes at the end of the cycle every 5 minutes

for up to two hours.

• "end of cycle chime" - Chimes once when the selected dryness

level is reached.

When the desired selections are made, touch "continue" to see the

review screen once again.

ETTING TIME DRY

Step

Select "time dry" from the Home screen. The control defaults to

45 minutes.

Step

Press the up and down arrows to set the

appropriate number of minutes to dry the load.

The time will increase or decrease in one minute

increments. Press "continue" when done.

Step

Select the temperature. Choose the appropriate

temperature for drying the load. See page 6 for a

detailed description of these temperatures.

Review Screen -The Review Screen lists the selected settings. At

this point you may press Start/Pause to begin drying the load or

select "options" for further customization of the drying cycle.

Options Screen -The option choices on the lefc

turn the options on or off. The option choices on the

right show an additional screen with multiple choices.

The following options may be added to customize

your "time dry" cycle:

•"wrinlde prevent"

• "damp dry chime"

• "remind chime"

• "end of cycle chime"

See page 7 for a detailed description of these options.

When the desired selections are made, touch

"continue" to see the review screen once again.

to verify your selections. If they are correct, press

Start/Pause. If they are incorrect, press the area you would

like to change.

;ETTING AIR FLUFF

"air fluff" tumbles the load with room temperature air.

Select "air fluff" from the Home screen. Step

Use the up or down arrow to select the tumble time.

Select "options" if desired to select options for the load.

The review screen will appear once again to verify your

selections. If they are correct, press Start/Pause.

More Cycles offers the abilit7 to choose "wrinkle release", "freshen up", and "dryel" cycles.

"wrinkle release" - will release wrinldes from items that are clean and dry but slightly wrinkled, such as from a crowded closet or

suitcase or from sitting in the dryer too long after the end of the cycle. It provides 8 minutes of heated tumbling and l0 minutes of

cool down tumbling without heat.

Touch "more cycles" on the

Home screen.

Step

Select "wrinkle release".

Step

Review Screen -The default settings for "wrinkle

release" are 18 minutes of tumbling using regular

temperature heated air. You may press Start/Pause to

begin or select any of the areas on the touchscreen to

further customize the "wrinkle release" cycle.

Touch the up or down arrow to

set the time to tumble. The time

will increase or decrease by one

minute increments. Press

"continue" when done.

Touch the appropriate

temperature for the load. Options Screen -The following options may be added

to customize your "wrinkle release" cycle:

•"wrinlde prevent"

• "end of cycle chime"

• "remind chime"

See page7 for a detailed description of these options.

When the desired selections are made,touch

"continue" to see the review screen once again.

"freshen up" - the "freshen up" cycle is designed to activate a fabric softener sheet. There are 5 minutes of heated tumble

followed by 10 minutes of tumble in unheated air.

Touch "more cycles" on the

Home screen.

Step

Add a fabric softener sheet to the

load. Select freshen up".

Step

Review Screen -The default settings for "freshen

up" are 15 minutes of tumble using extra low

temperature heated air. You may press Start/Pause to

begin or select any of the areas on the touchscreen to

further customize the "freshen up" cycle.
