können die Fahrgäste in den ersten Reihen jeweils über

denZugführerhinwegdieStreckebeieinemTempobiszu

330km/herleben.

InjedemWagensindangetriebeneAchsenvorhanden.Die

MotorenhabenzusammeneineLeistungvon8.000kW.Eine

Besonderheit stellen auch die Versionen mit Mehrstromsy-

stemdar,dienichtnurinDeutschland, Österreichundder

Schweiz, sondern auch in Frankreich und den Benelux-Staa-

ten betrieben werden können. Daher ist es nicht verwun-

derlich, dass auch in den Niederlanden dieser Zug gekauft

wurde.

Information about the Prototype

The ICE 3 presented at the end of 1998 to the public for the

ﬁrst time is developing into a symbol for the German Railroad,

Inc.Theuseof2cabcontrolcarsisremarkableonthistrain

composition which can have up to eight cars. This allows

passengers to look over the engineer’s shoulder down the

trackatspeedsupto330km/h(206mph).

Poweredaxlesarepresentoneachcar.Themotorshavea

totaloutputof8,000kilowatts(10,728horsepower).Theversi-

ons with multi-current systems are a special type of the train

and can be operated in France and the Benelux countries as

wellasinGermany,AustriaandSwitzerland.Itistherefore

not surprising that this train is also being bought in the Ne-

therlands.

C’est à la n de 1998 que la Deutsche Bahn AG présenta

pourlapremièrefoisaupublicl’ICE3.Undespointsremar-

quables de la rame à 8 éléments est la présence de deux

voitures-pilotesencadrantlesautresvoitures.Aunevites-

se de 330 km/h, les voyageurs assis à la première rangée

ont l’occasion de jeter un coup d’œil sur la voie par-dessus

l’épauleduconducteur.

Une autre particularité est que chaque voiture de la rame

possède des roues motrices, l’ensemble des moteurs dé-

veloppantunepuissancetotalede8000kW.Uneautrenou-

veautérésidedanslesdifférentesversionsdel’ICE3.Une

partie des rames automotrices dispose de l’équipement

polycourant leur permettant de parcourir non seulement les

voies d’Allemagne, d’Autriche et de Suisse mais aussi celles

deFranceetduBenelux.Iln’estdoncpasétonnantdecons-

tater que les Pays-Bas ont également acquis quelques trains

decetype.
