Information zum Vorbild
Nach längeren Verhandlungen übernahm im Jahr 1997 die
Österreichische Bundesbahn drei Prototypen einer E-Lok
und reihten diese als Reihe 1012 in ihren Fuhrpark ein. Das
Pflichtenheft forderte als Nachfolge für die 1044 die Beför-
derungsleistung 660 t auf 5 ‰ mit 220 km/h und 600 t bei
28 ‰ noch mit 100 km/h.
Die Lok wurde im Raum Innsbruck im Plandienst eingesetzt
und bespannte vorwiegend Züge der rollenden Landstraße.
2006 wurden die Lokomotiven aus dem Dienst genommen.
Die ÖBB hatte sich schon längst für die leistungsfähigeren
und billigeren Taurus entschieden.
Die Schwedische Firma Hector hatte zunächst eine Lokomo-
tive getestet und später alle drei Loks der ÖBB abgekauft.
Information about the Prototype
After long negotiations, the Austrian Federal Railroad
took possession in 1997 of three prototypes of an electric
locomotive and put them into its motive power roster as the
class 1012. The specification sheet required that these units
as a successor to the class 1044 be able to haul 660 metric
tons on a 5 ‰ grade at 220 km/h / 138 mph and 600 metric
tons on a 28 ‰ grade at 100 km/h / 63 mph.
This locomotive was used in the Innsbruck area in regular
service and mostly pulled trains in the “Rolling Road“ or
“Rollende Landstrasse“ service. In 2006, these locomotives
were taken out of service. The ÖBB had decided on the
more powerful and less costly Taurus.
The Swedish firm Hector initially tested one locomotive and
later bought all three units from the ÖBB.

Après de longues négociations, les chemins de fer fédéraux
autrichiens reprirent en 1997 trois prototypes d’une locomo-
tive électrique qu‘ils immatriculèrent dans la série 1012 de
leur parc traction. Pour la succession de la 1044, le cahier
des charges exigeait une performance de transport de 660 t
sur 5 ‰ à 220 km/h et de 600 t pour 28 ‰ encore à 100 km/h.
Cette locomotive fut utilisée en service régulier dans la
région d’Innsbruck et tracta essentiellement des trains de
la «route roulante». En 2006, les locomotives furent retirées
du service. Les ÖBB avaient en effet opté depuis longtemps
pour la Taurus, plus puissante et moins chère.
La firme suédoise Hector avait commencé par tester une
locomotive avant de finalement racheter les trois aux ÖBB.

In 1997 nam de Oostenrijkse Bundesbahn na lang onderhan-
delen drie prototypen van een E-loc over en voerden deze
als serie 1012 in hun voertuigenpark in. De ontwerpopdracht
vereiste, als opvolger van de 1044, een trekkracht van 660 t
op een helling van 5 ‰ bij een snelheid van 220 km/h en met
een last van 600 t op een helling van 28 ‰ nog een snelheid
van 100 km/h.
De loc werd in de geplande dienst rond Innsbruck ingezet en
trok voornamelijk de treinen van de “rollende Landstrasse”.
In 2006 werden de locs buiten dienst genomen. De ÖBB had
toen allang gekozen voor de krachtiger en voordeliger Taurus.
Kort daarna heeft de Zweedse firma Hector één loc getest
en later alle drie locomotieven van de ÖBB opgekocht.

Sicherheitshinweise
• Die Lok darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten Betriebs-
system (Märklin Wechselstrom, Märklin Delta, Märklin
Digital oder Märklin Systems) eingesetzt werden.
• Nur Schaltnetzteile/Transformatoren verwenden, die
Ihrer örtlichen Netzspannung entsprechen.
• Die Lok darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle versorgt
werden.
• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise in der
Gebrauchsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebssystem.
• Für den konventionellen Betrieb der Lok muss das
Anschlussgleis entstört werden. Dazu ist das Entstörset
74046 zu verwenden. Für Digitalbetrieb ist das Entstörset
nicht geeignet.
Allgemeine Hinweise
• Die Bedienungsanleitung und die sind Bestandteil des
Produktes und muss deshalb aufbewahrt, sowie bei
Weitergabe des Produktes mitgegeben werden.
• Setzen Sie das Modell keiner direkten Sonneneinstrah-
lung, starken Temperaturschwankungen oder hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit aus.
• Für Reparaturen oder Ersatzteile wenden Sie sich bitte an
Ihren Märklin-Fachhändler.

• The feeder track must be equipped to prevent inter-
ference with radio and television reception, when the
locomotive is to be run in conventional operation. The
74046 interference suppression set is to be used for this
purpose.
General Notes
• The operating instructions and the packaging are a com-
ponent part of the product and must therefore be kept as
well as transferred along with the product to others.
• Do not expose the model to direct sunlight, extreme

système d’exploitation adéquat (Märklin AC, Märklin
Delta, Märklin Digital ou Märklin Systems).
• Utilisez uniquement des convertisseurs correspondant à
la tension secteur locale.
• La locomotive ne peut être alimentée en courant que par
une seule source de courant.
• Veuillez impérativement respecter les remarques sur la
sécurité décrites dans le mode d’emploi de votre système
d’exploitation.
• Pour l’exploitation de la locomotive en mode convention-
nel, la voie de raccordement doit être déparasitée. A cet
effet, utiliser le set de déparasitage réf. 74046. Le set de
déparasitage ne convient pas pour l’exploitation en mode
numérique.

• La notice d‘utilisation fait partie intégrante du produit ;
elle doit donc être conservée et, le cas échéant, transmi-
se avec le produit.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

• Alleen net roedingsadaplers gebruiken die geschikt zijn
voor de bij u geldende netspanning.
• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan één stroomvoorziening
gelijktijdig gevoed worden.
• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften in de
gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.
• Voor het conventionele bedrijf met de loc dient de
aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de
ontstoor-set 74046 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf
is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.
Algemene aanwijzingen
• De gebruiksaanwijzing is een essentieel onderdeel van
het product en dient daarom bewaard te worden en bij
het overdragen van het product meegegeven te worden.
• Stel het model niet bloot aan in directe zonnestraling,
sterke temperatuurwisselingen of hoge luchtvochtigheid.
• Voor reparatie of onderdelen kunt u zich tot uw Märklin
winkelier wenden.
