The START/CANCEL button starts a selected

programme. Pressing this button, a short beep is

heard and the progress icon blinks on and off to con-

ﬁrm the action. If no programme has been selected,

a succession of four beeps will be heard. Once a

programme is running, pressing and holding this

button produces a prolonged beep, and the dryer

will stop (see Start and programmes section).

OPTION buttons/icon: these buttons activate the

options available for the selected programme (see

Controls). The icons indicate that the option has

been selected.

The Drying Guide is a simple table indicating the

relationship between different fabrics and the loading

capacity of the drum.

The empty water icon indicates that the

water collection tray must be emptied.When the icon

blinks, the tray is full.

The indicator will stop blinking a few seconds after

the empty tray has been replaced; for this to occur,

the dryer must be in operation (see Controls).

The Clean Filter icon reminds the user to

clean the ﬁlter each time the dryer is used (see

Maintenance section).

The ON/OFF indicator conﬁrms that the dryer

is in operation, or ready for selection of a program-

me.

ON/OFF button: with the dryer in operation,

pressing this button will stop the cycle and shut off

the machine. Pressing the button again, the ma-

chine restarts. As long as the door has not been

opened, the START button can be pressed again

to continue.

Progress icons:

these indicate the current status of the programme.

As each successive step of the programme is indi-

cated, the relative icon lights up: Pre Care, Drying,

Cooling and Post Care (see Start and programmes

section).

The PROGRAMME selection buttons are used to set

the programme: press the button corresponding to

the desired programme (see Start and programmes

section).

Selecting the programme

1. Plug the dryer into the a.c. mains socket.

2. Select the laundry according to the type of fabric

(see Laundry section).

3. Press the door to release the latch, open the

dryer, then proceed to check the position and

cleanliness of the ﬁlter and make certain that

the water tray is empty and correctly in place

(see Maintenance section).

4. Load the laundry into the drum, taking care that

no part of any garment is trapped between the

door and the relative seal. Close the door.

5. If the ON/OFF indicator is not alight: Press the

ON/OFF button.

6. Press the Programme selection button corre-

sponding to the type of fabric being dried, che-

cking the programme table (see Programmes),

as well as the indications given for each type of

fabric (see Laundry).

or, if available, select automatic drying (most

programmes have automatic as the default

setting); see the Programmes table.

7. Set a delay and select other options, if neces-

sary.

8. To select the option of a warning beep at the

end of the programme, press ALARM.

9. Press the START button to run the program-

me.

The display gives an indication of the time re-

maining.

During operation, the door can be opened to

allow the removal of clothes that have already

dried, leaving the remainder to dry further. Ha-

ving closed the door, the START button must

be pressed again for the dryer to resume ope-

ration.

10. During the ﬁnal few minutes of a drying program-

me, shortly before the end, the COOLING stage

will cut in (to remove heat from the fabrics); this

step must always be activated for the cycle to

ﬁnish.

11. A beep will sound (if the Alarm option has been

selected) to warn the user that the programme

has ﬁnished, and appears in the display.

Open the door and remove the laundry, then

clean and replace the ﬁlter. Empty the water

collection tray and replace (see Maintenance

section).

If Post Care has been selected and the laundry is

not removed immediately, the dryer will continue

to operate intermittently for 10 hours, or until such

time as the door is opened.

12. Unplug the dryer from the mains socket.

The ON/OFF indicator conﬁrms that the dryer is

in operation, or ready for selection of a programme.

If this indicator blinks, there is a fault in the machine

(see Fault ﬁnding).

ON/OFF button: with the dryer in operation, pressing

this button will stop the cycle and shut off the machine.

Pressing the button again, the machine restarts.

The Progress or Delay indicators show the current

status of the programme or, when blinking, the time

interval set for delayed programming.

During a delayed start, the Leds blink to indicate

the selected delay. When not in blink mode, each

single indicator remains permanently alight while the

corresponding step of the programme is in progress

(see Start and programmes section).

The PROGRAMMES knob is used to select the

desired programme: simply rotate the knob until

the indicator is positioned on the programme to be

selected (see Start and programmes section).

The selected drying programme is initiated by pres-

sing the START button (see Start and programmes

section).

The HEAT button is used to select the drying tem-

perature (see Start and programmes section).

OUT: HIGH temperature.

IN: LOW temperature.

The ALARM buzzer sounds at the end of a drying

cycle.

OUT: Buzzer ON.

IN: Buzzer OFF.

The luminous ON indicator conﬁrms that the dryer

is in operation. Pressing the ON/OFF button, the

indicator comes on and will remain alight until such

time as the door is opened or the machine switched

off. The indicator also remains alight when waiting

for a timer-delayed start.

The Drying Guide is a simple table indicating the

relationship between different fabrics and the loading

capacity of the drum.

The TIMER knob is used to set the interval of time

that must elapse before the start of a delayed drying

programme. Turn the knob clockwise to set the desi-

red length of time (number of hours) before the dryer

is to start; to go back, simply turn the knob counter-

clockwise (see Start and programmes section).

The PROGRAMME knob is used to select the de-

sired programme: rotate the knob clockwise, never

counterclockwise, until the indicator is positioned

on the programme to be selected (see Start and

programmes section).

2. OPERATING LOGIC:

The motor sets the drum in rotation, as well as driving

two fans mounted coaxially with the motor shaft.

The front fan draws in cold air from outside the ma-

chine and directs it into the condenser.

The rear fan blows air through the heating elements

and into the drum.

The drum rotates clockwise and counterclockwise in

alternation; the alternating sequence is programmed

electronically or timed electromechanically.

When the drum rotates counterclockwise to di-

sentangle the clothes, the heating elements are

deactivated.

Hot air blown by the fan enters the drum through the holes in the rear, causing the moisture in the fabrics

to turn to steam.
