Smartec Plus by Gentec

The stainless steel Smartec Plus range of electronic sensor operated touch free tapware

incorporates advanced laser technology for precise sensor actuation. This technology

provides accurate object recognition within the sensor range and is unaffected by

surrounding reﬂective surfaces. Mains and battery power options increases the installation

ﬂexibility whilst being highly energy efﬁcient.

The sensor range is easily adjustable in the ﬁeld to suit varied installation conditions and

facility requirements. The water efﬁcient 6 Star WELS rated Smartec Plus range utilises

laminar ﬂow technology eliminating the risk of aerosol creation where traditional aerators

are used. When combined with the factory set Hygiene Flush programming, the Smartec

Plus range presents as an optimum solution for improved health and hygiene within

facilities.

Screw the solenoid box to the wall using

the screws provided.

Ensure to have enough space between

the wall and the ﬁxing point.

When using the unit for

the ﬁrst time

•Make sure to turn the power

on ﬁrst and then the water

ﬂow.

•Lines must be ﬂushed

before installation.

• 2m extension cables are available if

required. The extension can be use

either for the sensor or for the power.

Not for extending both.

3. Connect the water supply to the

solenoid box inlet.

4. Plug in the solenoid box. Make sure

to turn the power ﬁrst and then the

water ﬂow.

• When the unit is powered on, water

should ﬂow immediately when you put

your hands within range of the sensor.

When you remove your hands out

of range, water should stop within 2

seconds.

The maximum duration of continuous

ﬂow is 1 minute.

BATTERY CHANGE

1. In case you have plugged in the mains,

disconnect power and open the cover

of the control box, open the battery

holder, remove the batteries and

replace all batteries with new ones

2. Please install the batteries in the right

direction, the + and – side are indicated

in the battery holder.

3. Close the battery holder, place the cover

back in place and tighten the screws.

1. Connect the ﬂexible hose from the tap

to the control box outlet. Ensure the

connection is free of any water leak.

2. Connect the tap sensor wires (1m length)

onto the solenoid box matching the cables

by colour.

For optimum operationallife, the installation of a PRV set to 350kPa is recommended

1. The sensor’s maximum range is 160mm

+/- 10%

2. To reprogram sensitivity disconnect the

sensor power cable from the solenoid

box and leave it for at least 20 seconds.

3. Connect power cable again andwait forthe

sensor light to start ﬂashing. Immediately,

place your ﬁnger on the sensor until

the light becomes solid. This allows the

sensor to enter in reprogramming mode.

4. Place your hand to the desired

position to adjust sensitivity and hold

it in position until the light turns off.

5. To set the sensor at maximum distance,

disconnect the power cable from

the solenoid box, and repeat step

3to enter in reprogramming mode.

• Do not place anything in front of the

sensor and allow the light to turn off.
