This document updates information contained in your Dell PowerEdge 4400 system

documentation.

If you are installing a new primary microprocessor in your system (see Figure 1-1), you

must remove the plastic air baffle from the new microprocessor before installing it.



To remove the air baffle, grasp the microprocessor assembly and slowly peel the air

baffle from the upper surface of the heat sink (see Figure 1-2).



For details on installing the new microprocessor, see “Upgrading the Microprocessor

shooting Guide.

Pour retirer la chicane d'air, saisissez l'assemblage du microprocesseur et pelez

doucement la chicane d'air de la surface supérieure du dissipateur de chaleur

(reportez-vous àla figure 2-2).


