Removing the protective film

When the printer isshipped from the manufacturer, aprotective

film isaffixed to the paper check window. Before using the

printer, remove the protective film.

Inserting/removing the rechargeable battery

Slide the rechargeable

battery cover (at the back

of the printer) in the

direction indicated by (1).

Remove the cover and

battery by lifting the edge

at (2) with your finger.

Align the battery with the

connector (3), and then

install the rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Re-attach the cover.

of the printer) in the direction indicated by (1).

Remove the cover and battery by lifting the edge

at (2) with your finger.

Remove the rechargeable battery.

Re-attach the cover.

Operating Procedures

Charging

Thisprinter isequipped with aLi-ion battery. Use the AC adapter

designed specifically for the printer to charge the battery.

After purchasing thisprinter, be sure to charge the battery fully

before using it (the charging indicator light lightsup in orange

while charging).

Plug the AC adapter cord

into the AC adapter

connector on the printer.

Plug the AC adapter plug

into an AC power outlet

(AC 110 V-120 V).

Charging of the Li-ion battery

automatically begins.



The charging indicator light lightsup in

orange.



When charging has finished, the charging

indicator light goesoff.

If the charging indicator light doesnot light up in

orange, the battery may not be correctly installed.
