INTRODUCTION:
Please be sure to inspect the equipment upon receipt for any possible shipping damage.

UNPACKING/INSPECTION OF EQUIPMENT:
This unit is designed to be used in walk-in coolers or similar applications. The unit
produces Advanced Oxidation Products (AOPs) that work to reduce/eliminate mold, etc. on
surfaces which aids in increasing shelf-life of produce and other consumables, and reduce
the risk of contamination.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:
CAUTION! – Prior to operating this unit, consult warning section of this owner's manual.
- Mount unit securely with wall anchors (supplied) according to installation directions.
- Connect unit to 120V, 60Hz.
- Turn unit on.
- Adjust level of purification based upon cubic footage of room or desired amount of
freshness.

OPERATING PROCEDURES:
The FoodGUARD unit is designed to operate using 120V, 60Hz, in accordance with the
specifications of the National Electrical Code and for safety measures. The unit is shipped
with a three wire blunt cord to be hardwired into a circuit. If required, a three-prong
grounding plug can be attached to the unit for connection to a 120V, 60Hz outlet with a 5
amp minimum circuit breaker.
ELECTRICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
INSTALLATION:
The unit should be installed on a wall as high as feasible. The wall should be able to
support the weight of the unit (by studs or wall material). The unit will need to be located
with access to electrical power. Follow the step-by-step instructions for mounting the
unit using the supplied hardware or other hardware suitable of ensuring security of unit's
weight.

REMOVING THE ACTIVEPURE® CELLS:
To reassemble, continue to next page.

1. Each cell can be removed
independently. To remove cell,
pull cell straight out where the cell
retaining bracket was located.
Cells should be replaced
annually to maintain optimum
air purification.
Cells can be swapped. For
example - If only two cells (1, 2)
are activated over the course of a
year, then they could be swapped
with the unused cells (3, 4) for the
following year. At the end of the
second year, all four cells should
be replaced.

CHANGING THE FILTER

1. Fan covers can be removed
by detaching filter frame cover
from filter base.

2. Filter material can then be removed and
washed by hand. Allow to dry completely
before re-installing.
