Service Manual for Twin Tub Washing Machine

1、Common problem and how to solve

How to disassemble the unit:

1、Removing the back plate: remove the three tapping screw assembly at the underside of

back plate with cross-sharp screwdriver.

2、Removing the top cover: remove the fixed cover from the top cover then remove the

screws fixing fixed cover and wash tub (note: to disassemble models without fixed cover

take out the rubber plug in front of the top cover then remove the screw inside it).

Secondly remove all the screws around the top cover and take out and separate the brake

clip through back of the washing machine.

3、Removing the spin tub: remove the fasten screw on the coupler through backside then the

spin tub can be pulled out.

4、Removing the wash tub: after removing the top cover remove the screws fixing the

cabinet and wash tub. Then take out the V-belt and wash tub.

5、Removing the control panel: brake down the wire bundle in the unit then remove all the

screws in the terminal box and release all the protective sleeve on the lead wires

terminals. Secondly remove the hook of pull belt for drain from the hole of pull-rod of

drain valve. Finally remove the screws fixing control panel and top cover then remove

the control panel.

Fail to wash and the

1. The power plug is not

1. Clean the power plug then connect it again

securely.

2. Replace the fuse. Check the connection to ensure

in safety condition.

3. Check the harness.

4. Replace the wash timer.

5. Replace the switch selector.

6. Replace the capacitor.

7. Repair or replace the wash motor.

No washing but the

wash motor is

working.

1. The impeller is wrapped by

the clothes or is locked by

some exterior materials e.g.

buttons coins.

2. V-belt is broken or fell down

from the wheel.

3. The voltage is too low.

4. The fasten screws fixing

bearing of wash motor and

wheel of motor fan is loose.

5. The fasten screw fixing

1. Pull out the power supply cord. Disassemble the

impeller and remove the clothes or exterior

materials.

2. Replace the V-belt or reinstall it.

3. Stop working until the voltage is up to 187V.

4. Tighten the nuts.

5. Tighten the fasten screw and lock screw.

6. Take out some clothes till it’s suitable.

7. Replace the wash motor or capacitor.

impeller and its bearing is

loose.

6. Over loaded.

7. The space for motor running

is not enough or the capacitor

is weak.

Normal and gentle

wash program do

not work correctly.

clockwise and anti-

clockwise.

Fail to spin and the

spin motor is not

working

1. The fuse is blown.

2. The micro-motion switcher

not connected well or the

spring reed is broken.

3. The connection of the power

trans harness is not ok.

4. The capacitor is broken.

5. The spin timer is broken.

6. The spin motor is broken.

1. Replace the fuse. Check the connection to ensure

in safety condition.

2. Press down the upper spring reed so as to enhance

the contact between reeds. Replace the spring if

it’s broken. Burnish the spring if it’s covered by

oxidation.

3. Check the harness.

4. Replace the capacitor.

5. Replace the spin timer.

6. Replace the spin motor. If the breakage was

caused by water-leak check what caused it.

No spinning but

the spin motor is

working.

1 Clothes wrap the bearing of

spin tub.

2 The fasten screw fixing the

bearing of spin motor and

coupler is loose.

3 The coupler is braked by the

brake wheel.

4 The capacitor is weak.

The fasten screw fixing bearing of spin

motor and coupler is loose. Or the inner

wrap of coupler wore out.

1 Remove the fixed cover and take out the clothes

and exterior material.

2 Tighten the fasten screw.

3 Hang back the brake wire if it’s loose. Adjust the

position if the distance between brake wire and

steel wire rope is too short. Replace the spring if it

is aging.

4 Replace the capacitor.

5 Tighten the fasten screws. Replace the inner wrap

of coupler if it’s wore out.

Spinning lasts

too long. The inner

tub crashes the out

tub when running.

1. Clothes in the spin tub is not

even.

2. Over-loaded.

3. Drain hose is not laid down.

4. The three spring sleeves of

spin motor were not fixed

well.

1 Lube on the spin tub bearing is not

make noise when running.

4 The base of spring fell off.

5 Noise from spin motor.

1 Spread some lube on the spin tub bearing.

2 Remove the spin tub and take out the

exterior material.

3 Adjust the position of brake wire and the

hole of hanging steel wire rope until the

distance is suitable.

4 Reinstall the base of spring. Replace the

spring sleeve if it is damaged.

5 Replace the spin motor.

Spin tub does not

stop in the set time

1. The hook of spin wire and steel wire

rope is loose. Or the steel wire rope

broke away from the T-shape slot of

brake wheel.

2. The brake wire is too tight.

3. The brake wheel wear and tear

badly.

4. The flexibility of spring is degraded.

5. The touching point of safety switch

is still connected when opening the

lid of spin tub.

1. Rehang the brake wire or the steel wire

rope to the T-shape slot of brake wheel.

2. Adjust the position of the brake wire and

the hanging hole of the steel wire rope

until the distance is suitable.

3. Replace the brake wheel assembly.

4. Replace the spring.

5. Adjust the touching point of safety switch.

Water leaks from

sides when

spinning

1. The spin seal did not fixed well.

2. The spin seal is broken.

3. There is breach on the spin seal.

4. The bearing of spin motor is rusty.

5. The side of wash tub is broken.

1. Adjust the position of spin seal.

2. Replace the spin seal.

3. Replace the spin seal.

4. Replace the spin tub.

5. Replace the wash tub.

No draining or

draining is jammed.

1. The drain hose was not laid

down when draining.

2. The drain hole of wash tub is

jammed.

3. The drain hose is hung too

high.

1. Lay down the drain hose on the ground.

2. Remove the fixed cover and take out some

clothes or exterior material.

3. Place the drain hose no higher than 20cm

above floor level.

No draining from

the wash tub or

draining is jammed.

1. The outlet of the drain hose

or the drain valve is jammed.

2. The drain belt fell down from

the switch selector.

1. Remove the impeller. Remove the exterior

material in the water outlet.

2. Rehang the drain belt on the switch selector.

3. Replace the drain belt.

3. The drain belt is too long or

is broken.

4. The drain hose hook is too

high.

5. The fle ibility of compress

spring of drain valve is too

large.

6. There is any e terior in the

drain outlet of wash tub or

rubber sleeve of drain valve.

4. Rehang the drain hose hook on the hole

under the pull-rod.

5. Replace the compress spring.

6. Open the cover of drain valve take out the

rubber sleeve of drain valve and clean it.

Water leaks from

the sides when

washing

1. The wash tub is broken.

2. The seal ring of speed

reducer is broken.

3. The rubber seal ring on the

speed reducer and wash tub is

broken.

4. The overflow pipe is cracked.

5. The rubber sleeve of drain

valve is cracked.

6. The drain elbow or drain

joint did not connect well.

1. Replace wash tub.

2. Replace the speed reducer.

3. Replace the rubber seal ring.

4. Replace the overflow pipe.

5. Replace the rubber sleeve of drain valve.

6. Reinstall the drain elbow or drain joint.

Water leaks from

the drain hose

1. The outlet of drain hose or

the drain valve is jammed.

2. The drain belt is too tight.

3. The fle ibility of compress

spring is not enough.

1. Open the cover of drain valve take out the

rubber sleeve of drain valve and clean it.

2. Adjust the position of the hook of drain belt

and the pull-rod of drain valve.

3. Replace the compress spring.

Noise occurs from

the impeller during

rotating

1. E terior material under the

impeller.

2. The fasten screw of impeller

is loose.

3. The gear wheel in speed

reducer is damaged.

4. The lock screw of the big

impeller is loose.

5. Motor fan and big impeller

are not in the same level.

6. The surface of V-belt is

harsh.

7. Big noise from the wash

motor.

1. Remove the impeller and take out the

exterior material.

2. Tighten the fasten screw.

3. Replace the speed reducer.

4. Tighten the lock screw.

5. Adjust the motor fan until it’s in the same

level as big impeller.

6. Replace another V-belt.

7. Replace the wash motor.

Maintenance of Twin Tub Washing Machine

It is important to operate under strict compliance with user manual.

1、Overall clean-up of the washing machine

1 Use dry and soft cloth to cleanse the machine.

2 Add neutral detergent into cleansing when the smudge is severe.

3 Please do not spray water directly to the washing machine.

4 After washing disengage the water inlet hose.

5 Unplug the power supply cord and hang it up.

6 Please do not store water in the wash tub for long. Drain the water instantly

after each use.

7 Use clean and soft cloth to wipe out the surface and tub. Please open the wash

lid for a while (approximately one hour) and then close it.

8Hang up the drain hose.

2、Clean-up of lint filter

Take out the lint filter. Put it in the clean water while it is still wettish. Then make

a rinse and reinstall it again.

3、Spin-drying

During the process of spin-drying altogether with the program of “Drain” or

“Water injection and rinsing” it is suggested that about one minute of spin-drying

be conducted first and then you can carry out “Drain” or “Water injection and

rinsing” program. Otherwise the spin-drying process is stopped due to over-

storage of water in spinning tub.

4、Icing precautions

1After a thorough drain switch water level selector to “Heavy” or “Normal”.

2If it is in “Drain” position the icing can hardly melt down.

5、When it is frozen

Put hot water below 50 in the washing tub and soak for certain minutes then use℃

your hand to slightly turn around the impeller. It is suggested to use the washing

machine when it can drain.
