Washer connections

1. Portable one faucet

connection:

Use the hose connector provided

with the washer for a one faucet

connection,

To connect washer:

Lift the hoses off the storage rack on

the back of the washer.

Attach the hose connector to the

faucet adapter by pulling down on

the locking collarwhile lifting up

on the connector, until it snaps into

place.

Slowly turn the water faucet on

to full.

Pull the electric power cord from

storage area in the back of the

washer.

Plug the power cord into a

grounded outlet.

To disconnect washer:

Unplug the electric power cord

and put it back in its storage area.

Turn the water faucet off.

Press the red Water Flow Button to

release the water pressure.

Move the locking collar down and

pulldown on the connector.

Drain water from the hoses through

the hose connector.

t-tang the hoses on storage rack.

2. Portable two faucet

connections:

If you have two separate water

inlet hoses and a drain hose, your

washer can be connected to both

hot and cold water faucets.

Connecting the washer:

Connect the hot and cold water

inlet hose to the hot and cold

faucets.

Secure the drain hose to the sink

or standpipe.

Plug the power cord into a

grounded outlet.

To disconnect the washer:

Turn water faucets off.

Unplug power cord and return it to

storage area.

Disconnect the drain water supply

hoses. Hang them on the storage

rack.

3. Permanent installation:

This washer can be converted from

portable to permanent. Instructions

for permanent installation come with

the washer.

You will need two fill hoses, one

drain hose and four leveling legs.

These can be purchased from your

Whirlpool Dealer.

Starting your washer

Before starting your washer, be sure you have measured and added

detergent, and have put in a properly sorted load

LOAD SIZES AND WATER LEVELS

Use less than a full tub of water For best cleaning results, the

3. Start the washer

Push in the Control Knob and

turn it to the right. It must be

pushed in and turned only

clockwise.

Stop on a number in the cycle

you want. The numbers are

minutes of wash time. The

drawing shows 8 minutes of

agitation in the REGULAR HEAVY

Cycle.

C. Start the washer by pulling out

the Control Knob. The washer

will fill to the level you set with

wash water of the selected

temperature. After filling, the

washer will agitate for the

selected number of minutes.

To stop the washer at any time

push in the Control Knob. To

restart the washer, pull out the

Control Knob.

spin or drain and spin, see page 12.

What happens in each cycle

Each cycle has different agitation and spin speeds designed for different

kinds of fabrics. Numbers on the dial in each cycle are the minutes of WASH

agitation time.

When the Cycle Control Knob is set to a number and pulled out,the washer

fills before agitation and timing startsAfter agitation starts, the knob turns

REGULAR HEAVY Cycle

High agitation and

PERMANENT PRESS Cycle

KNIT Cycle LOW agitation and spin

speeds and shorter wash

NOTE: You may hear the sound of water spraying during the spin parts of

some cycles. In some cycles, cold water is sprayed on the spinning load to

help with the rinsing
