Information zum Vorbild
Für die Gebirgsstrecke Freilassing – Berchtesgaden ließ die
Bayerische Staatsbahn 1913 eine spezielle E-Lok-Konstrukti-
on entwickeln. Die zwei Lokomotiven wurden erst nach dem
Krieg fertiggestellt und gingen als EG 2 x 2/2 in Betrieb. Bei
der Reichsbahn wurden sie in die Baureihe E 70.2 aufgenom-
men.
Das „Bayerische Krokodil“ ist auf zwei Drehgestellen mit
beweglichen Plattformen und Pufferbohlen aufgebaut, die
Vorbauten über den Antrieben sind jedoch fest mit dem Mit-
telkasten verbunden. Der Antrieb erfolgt über Blindwellen
und typische Dreiecks-Kuppelstangen.
Informations concernant la locomotive réelle
Pour la ligne de montagne Freilassing – Berchtesgaden, les
Chemins de fer Bavarois mirent à l’étude en 1913 un type spé-
cial de motrice électrique. Les deux locomotives ne furent
achevées qu’après la guerre et furent mises en service sous
l’appellation EG 2 x 2/2. Elles furent intégrées à la Reichsbahn
dans la série E 70.2.
Le «crocodile bavarois» est monté sur deux bogies avec pla-
te-formes et tampons mobiles, l’avant-corps surplombant le
moteur étant cependant solidaire du châssis intermédiaire.
L’entraînement s’effectue par arbres secondaires de renvoi
et bielles d’accouplement on triangle caractéristiques.

Voor de bergachtige trajecten tussen Freilassing en
Berchtesgaden liet de Bayerische Staatsbahn in 1913 een
speciale elok-constructie ontwikkelen. De twee lokomo-
tieven werden pas na de oorlog voltooid en kwamen als
EG 2 x 2/2 in gebruik. Bij de Reichsbahn werden ze in de serie
E 70.2 opgenomen.
De ”Beierse Krokodil” is op twee draaistellen met beweegba-
re plateaus en bufferbalken opgebouwd, de voorbouw boven
de aandrijvingen is echter vast met de middenkast verbon-
den. De aandrijving geschiedt via blinde assen en typische
driehoekige koppelstangen.
Information about the Prototype
In 1913 the Bavarian State Railroad developed a special elec-
tric locomotive design for the mountain route from Freilassing
to Berchtesgaden. The two locomotives of this design were
not finished until after World War I and were placed in ope-
ration under the classification EG 2 x 2/2. Under the German
State Railroad they were classified as the E 70.2.
The “Bavarian Crocodile” was designed with two trucks with
movable platforms and buffer beams. The hood superstruc-
tures were permanently linked to the middle body section,
however. The drive mechanism consisted of jackshafts and
three-point side rods common at that time.

Sicherheitshinweise
• Die Lok darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten Betriebssys-
tem eingesetzt werden.
• Nur Schaltnetzteile und Transformatoren verwenden, die
Ihrer örtlichen Netzspannung entsprechen.
• Die Lok darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle versorgt
werden.
• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise in der
Bedienungsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebssystem.
• Setzen Sie das Modell keiner direkten Sonneneinstrah-
lung, starken Temperaturschwankungen oder hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit aus.
• Für den konventionellen Betrieb der Lok muss das An-
schlussgleis entstört werden. Dazu ist das Entstörset
611 655 zu verwenden. Für Digitalbetrieb ist das Entstör-
set nicht geeignet.
Funktionen
• Das Modell ist für den Betrieb auf H0-Zweileiter-Gleich-
strom-Systemen (Gleisen nach NEM) mit herkömmlichen
Gleichstrom-Fahrpulten vorgesehen.
• Analog 14 Volt=, digital 22 Volt~.
• Diese Lokomotive ist mit einer Trix-Schnittstelle für Digi-
talbetrieb ausgestattet und kann mit dem Trix-Fahrzeug-
Decoder 66839/66849 nachgerüstet werden.
• Trix-Triebfahrzeuge dürfen auf Digitalanlagen nicht ohne
eingebauten Lokdecoder betrieben werden (Beschädi-
gung des Motors möglich!).
Allgemeine Hinweise
•
Die Bedienungsanleitung und die Verpackung sind Be-
standteil des Produktes und müssen deshalb aufbewahrt
sowie bei Weitergabe des Produktes mitgegeben werden.
• Beim Einbau eines Digital-Decoders müssen die einge-
bauten Glühbirnen durch die Glühbirne 610 080 ersetzt
werden.
• Für Reparaturen oder Ersatzteile wenden Sie sich bitte an
Ihren Trix-Fachhändler.

Jegliche Garantie-, Gewährleistungs- und Schadenersatzansprüche sind

Safety Notes
• This locomotive is to be used only with an operating
system designed for it.
• Use only switched mode power supply units and transfor-
mers that are designed for your local power system.
• This locomotive must never be supplied with power from
more than one power pack.
• Pay close attention to the safety notes in the instructions
for your operating system.
• Do not expose the model to direct sunlight, extreme
changes in temperature, or high humidity.
• The feeder track must be equipped to prevent inter-
ference with radio and television reception, when the
locomotive is to be run in conventional operation. The
611 655 interference suppression set is to be used for this
purpose. The interference suppression set is not suitable
for digital operation.
Functions
• This model is designed for operation with H0 2-rail
DC systems (track according to NEM standards) with
conventional DC power packs.
• Analog 14 volts DC, digital 22 volts AC.
• This locomotive comes equipped with a Trix connector
for digital operation and can have the Trix locomotive
decoder 66839/66849 installed in it.
• Trix motor vehicles must not be operated on digital
systems without an built-in engine decoder (Motor can
be damaged!).
General Notes
• The operating instructions and the packaging are a com-
ponent part of the product and must therefore be kept as
well as transferred along with the product to others.
• When installing a digital decoder, the light bulbs alrea-
dy installed in the locomotive must be replaced by the
610 080 light bulbs.
• Please see your authorized Trix dealer for repairs or
spare parts.

No warranty or damage claims shall be accepted in those cases where
parts neither manufactured nor approved by Trix have been installed in
Trix products or where Trix products have been converted in such a way
that the non-Trix parts or the conversion were causal to the defects and /

Remarques importantes sur la sécurité
• La locomotive ne peut être mise en service qu’avec un
système d’exploitation adéquat.
• Utiliser uniquement des convertisseurs et transforma-
teurs correspondant à la tension du secteur local.
• La locomotive ne peut être alimentée en courant que par
une seule source de courant.
• Veuillez impérativement respecter les remarques sur la
sécurité décrites dans le mode d’emploi de votre système
d’exploitation.
• Ne pas exposer le modèle à un ensoleillement direct,
à de fortes variations de température ou à un taux
d‘humidité important.
• Pour l’exploitation de la locomotive en mode convention-
nel, la voie de raccordement doit être déparasitée. A cet
effet, utiliser le set de déparasitage réf. 611 655. Le set de
déparasitage ne convient pas pour l’exploitation en mode
numérique.
Fonctionnement
• Le modèle réduit est destiné à être utilisé sur tous les ré-
seaux à deux rails à courant continu (voies selon normes
NEM) avec des transformateurs-régulateurs traditionnels
délivrant du courant continu.
• Analogique 14 volts=, digital 22 volts ~.
• Cette locomotive est équipée d’une interface Trix pour
l’exploitation numérique et peut être équipée ultérieure-
ment des décodeurs de véhicule Trix (66839/66849).
• Ne pas faire marcher les véhicules motorisés Trix sur des
dispositifs numériques sans avoir installé auparavant un
décodeur de locomotive (le moteur peut être endom-
magé!).
Informations générales
• La notice d‘utilisation et l’emballage font partie intégrante
du produit ; ils doivent donc être conservés et, le cas
échéant, transmis avec le produit.
• Lors du montage d’un décodeur numérique, les ampoules
en place doivent être remplacées par l‘ampoule réf. 610 080.
• Pour toute réparation ou remplacement de pièces, adres-
sez-vous à votre détaillant-spécialiste Trix.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• De loc mag alleen met een daarvoor bestemd bedrijfssys-
teem gebruikt worden.
• Alleen net-adapters en transformatoren gebruiken
waarvan de aangegeven netspanning overeenkomt met
de netspanning ter plaatse.
• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan één stroomvoorziening
gelijktijdig gevoed worden.
• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften in de
gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.
• Stel het model niet bloot aan in directe zonnestraling,
sterke temperatuurwisselingen of hoge luchtvochtigheid.
• Voor het conventionele bedrijf met de loc dient de
aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de
ontstoor-set 611 655 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf
is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.
Functies
• Dit model is geschikt voor het gebruik op twee-rail-
gelijkstroom systemen (rails volgens NEM) en kan met
gebruikelijke rijregelaars bestuurd worden.
• Analoog 14 Volt=, digitaal 22 Volt ~.
• Deze locomotief is uitgerust met een Trix-stekkerbus voor
digitaalbedrijf en kan voorzien worden van een Trix-loc-
decoder (66839/66849).
• Trix locomotieven mogen niet op digitale installaties zon-
der ingebouwde locdecoders worden gebruikt (De motor
kan beschadigt worden!).
Algemene informatie
• De gebruiksaanwijzing en de verpakking zijn een be-
standdeel van het product en dienen derhalve bewaard
en meegeleverd te worden bij het doorgeven van het
product.
• Bij het inbouwen van een digitaaldecoder moeten de
aanwezige gloeilampjes vervangen worden door de
lampjes 610 080.
• Voor reparatie of onderdelen kunt u zich tot uw Trix
winkelier wenden.

Elke aanspraak op garantie en schadevergoeding is uitgesloten, wanneer
in Trix-producten niet door Trix vrijgegeven vreemde onderdelen ingebou-
wd en / of Trix-producten omgebouwd worden en de ingebouwde vreemde
onderdelen resp. de ombouw oorzaak van nadien opgetreden defecten
en / of schade was. De aantoonplicht en de bewijslijst daaromtrent, dat
de inbouw van vreemde onderdelen in Trix-producten of de ombouw van
Trix-producten niet de oorzaak van opgetreden defecten en / of schade is
geweest, berust bij de voor de inbouw en / of ombouw verantwoordelijke
persoon en / of firma danwel bij de klant.

Aviso de seguridad
• La locomotora solamente debe funcionar en el sistema
que le corresponda.
• Emplear únicamente fuentes de alimentación conmuta-
das y transformadores que sean de la tensión de red
local.
• La locomotora no deberá recibir corriente eléctrica mas
que de un solo punto de abasto.
• Observe bajo todos los conceptos, las medidas de
seguridad indicadas en las instrucciones de su sistema de
funcionamiento.
• No exponer el modelo en miniatura a la radiación solar
directa, a oscilaciones fuertes de temperatura o a una
humedad del aire elevada.
• Para el funcionamiento convencional de la locomotora
deben suprimirse las interferencias en la vía de conexión
de la alimentación. Para ello debe emplearse el set
supresor de interferencias 611 655. El set supresor de
interferencias no es adecuado para el funcionamiento en
modo digital.
Funciones
• El funcionamiento de este modelo está previsto para vías
H0 de dos carriles (norma NEM) de corriente continua
con transformadores conventionales.
• Analógicas 14 voltios=, digitales 22 voltios~.
• Esta locomotora está equipada con una interfaz Trix para
funcionamiento en Digital y puede equiparse posterior-
mente con los decoders para vehículos Trix (66839/66849).
• Las locomotoras y automotores Trix que no tengan
montado el decoder no deben circular en instalaciones
Digital (¡puede dañar el motor!).
Informaciones Generales
• Las instrucciones de empleo y el embalaje forman parte
íntegra del producto y, por este motivo, deben guardarse
y entregarse junto con el producto en el caso de venderlo
o transmitirlo a otro.
• En el montaje de un decoder digital, las bombillas incan-
descentes incorporadas deben sustituirse por la bombilla
incandescente 610 080.
• En caso de precisar una reparación o piezas de recambio,
rogamos ponerse en contacto con su distribuidor Trix.

Avvertenze per la sicurezza
• Tale locomotiva deve venire impiegata soltanto con un
sistema di esercizio prestabilito a questo scopo.

• Per il funzionamento tradizionale della locomotiva il
binario di alimentazione deve essere protetto dai disturbi.
A tale scopo si deve impiegare il corredo antidisturbi
611 655. Tale corredo antidisturbi non è adatto per il
funzionamento Digital.
Funzioni
• Tale modello è previsto per il funzionamento su sistemi H0
a due rotaie in corrente continua (binari secondo norme
NEM) con i preesistenti regolatori di marcia per corrente
continua.
• Analogico 14 Volt=, digitale 22 Volt~.
• Questa locomotiva è equipaggiata con un’interfaccia
Trix per funzionamento digitale è può venire in seguito
equipaggiata con i Decoder Trix da motrici (66839/66849).
• I mezzi di trazione Trix non devono essore impiegati sugli
impianti Digital senza un Decoder da locomotive incorpo-
rato (puo vorificarsi un dannegiamento del motore!).
Avvertenze generali
• Le istruzioni di impiego e l’imballaggio costituiscono un
componente sostanziale del prodotto e devono pertanto
venire conservati nonché consegnati insieme in caso di
ulteriore cessione del prodotto.
• In occasione dell‘installazione di un Decoder Digital, le
lampadine incorporate devono essere sostituite tramite la
lampadina 610 080.
