If you’re ready for a unique RC ying experience, the RageTM X-Fly VTOL is the aircraft for you. In ad-
dition to typical 4-channel drone control, the X-Fly is capable of high alpha ight like an aircraft thanks to
software that allow pilots to y at either 20or 35 angles of attack. It also includes features like one-touch
take-off and landing, altitude hold, and dual rates that allow you to y with control speed that matches your
skill level. Plus, the included 250mAh Lipo battery provides plenty of power and ight times over
5 minutes.
The X-Fly not only has a futuristic design with bright, attractive graphics– it’s made of durable EPP foam
and is equipped with powerful LED’s that provide great visibility-day or night.
The X-Fly VTOL is a RTF (Ready-To-Fly) aircraft, so it comes factory-assembled out-of-the-box with most
everything needed to begin your own awesome ying experience. You’ll get a 2.4GHz 4-channel trans-
mitter, a 250mAh 1-cell LiPo battery, and a convenient USB charger. Simply add 3 AAA batteries for the
transmitter, and you’ll soon be enjoying a ight experience like no other.
Charge the X-Fly Battery
1. Plug the USB charger into a 5V USB power source, such as a laptop.
2. Connect the flight battery to the charger. The charger will show a red
LED light when charging the battery. When the battery is fully charged
the red LED light turns off.
3. A full charge takes about 30 minutes. The X-Fly can fly for 5-6 minutes
on a full charge.
4. After charging, unplug the USB charging cable. Do not attempt to
overcharge the battery.
Caution:
• Use only the supplied lithium battery. Using any
other battery may damage the X-Fly.
• Only use the included USB charging cable to
charge the X-Fly battery.
Indicator Light

Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Then insert
three AAA batteries, matching the polarities (+ and -) marked
inside. Use alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Replace
the cover and screw it in place.

Install Transmitter Batteries
Install Flight Battery
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Plug fully charged Lipo ight battery into the connector
3. Fit the battery into the compartment.
4. Reinstall the battery cover.
Controller Instructions
1. Press the On/Off button on the controller to turn it on.Press and hold the power button on the X-Fly until
the LED lights are blinking. Move the left stick up till you hear a beep, then move it all the way down until
you hear another beep.Now the controller is paired with the X-Fly and the lights will no longer blink.
2. After pairing, with the X-Fly on the ground, press the Take Off/Land button or move the left stick up to
take off. To avoid ground effect turbulence, ascend to at least 1’ (30cm) from the ground. Press the Take
Off/Land button again and the X-Fly will slowly descend, land and turn the motors off.
3. Push the left stick up to ascend, push the left stick down to descend. Push the left stick left/right to
rotate.
4. Push the right stick up to move forward, push the right stick down to move backward. Push the right
stick left/right to move left or right.

5. Forward/Backward Trim: If the X-Fly tends to move forward, press the Backward Trim button several
times until the X-Fly no longer moves forward on its own. Press the Forward Trim button if it ys backward
on its own.
6. Left/Right Trim: If the X-Fly drifts right, press the left trim button; if it drifts left, press the right trim button.
7. Dual Rates: Press the right stick inward to change from low to high rate. The controller will beep twice.
High rates increases the tilt angle for faster speeds and increased manueverability. Press the right stick in
again to return to low rates signaled by a single beep.
8. Press the Angle + button to automatically tilt the X-Fly for forward ight. Press the Angle + button up to
3 times to increase the angle for more speed. Use the right stick to steer left and right. Moving the right
stick back will cancel forward ight. During forward ight press the Angle - button the reduce angle and
speed.
9. Autonomous Circular Flight: Press the left stick inward to enter this mode, a series of beeps will be
heard. Move the right stick right or left and the X-Fly with begin ying in a circle. While in this mode other
controls will not function. To exit this mode push the left stick inward again. Make sure you have enough
clear space around the X-Fly prior to initiating this autonomous ight mode.
Calibration Instructions
1. If the X-Fly ies erratically you may need to calibrate the gyro.
2. Place the X-Fly on level ground, turn it on and pair with the controller.
3. Move the left stick all the way down and the right stick all the way up
and hold them there until the LED lights on the X-Fly stop blinking and
remain solid.
4. The calibration process is complete and the X-Fly is ready to take off.
Battery Notes
• Do not dispose of Lithium batteries in a re.
• Do not leave batteries in hot places such as an automobile in direct sunlight.
• Do not mix new and used batteries, or install used batteries in other equipment.
• Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc), or Recharable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hy
dride) batteries.
• Do not reverse the polarity (positive and negative terminals) of batteries.
• For best results use type AAA batteries.
• Install only new batteries of the same type in your product.
• Batteries should be recycled or disposed of per state and local guidelines.
