CD-I

The Compact

Disc

Interactive

(CD-I)

standard

for

the

Compact

Disc

offers

flexible

combination

audio,

video,

text

and

data,

involving

for

example

database-oriented

information

and

computer

programs,

for

interactive

and

real-time

operation

essentially

self

contained

and

easy-to-use

CD-I

systems,

used

conjunction

with

domestic

audio

equipment

and

television

receivers.

From a

technical

point

view,

CD-I

logical

extension

CD-ROM.

users

point

evolution

Disc.

firmly

based

the

well

known and

universally

accepted

Compact

Disc

standard.

CD-I

standard

CD-DA
