The strong points of UJF-6042
■
Eco-Friendly
Supported environmentally conscious LED UV light,
which is long lasting and low power consumption.
Also, pro-environment printing which generates
almost no VOC’s is achieved.
■
A2 Size ＆150mm Height
Compared with UJF-3042HG, the width is broaden from 300mm to 610mm,
allowing printing on A2 size media. Since the size is broaden, the print speed
gets faster than the previous model by 1.3 times.
Also, direct print on the media with 150㎜thick is possible.
■
High Quality Printing
Printing accuracy is improved by 50% compared with UJF-3042HG. The minimum size
of 4pl dot and a higher resolution print mode of 1,800 x 1,800 dpi actualized a precise
and vivid image quality.
■
Easy Maintenance
The more stable printing is accomplished, by incorporating maintenance systems such
as the nozzle recovery system, and the white ink circulation system. 2

■
The reduction of power consumption and CO2 emission
・The reduction of the total cost by cutting down on power use
■
The reduction of the heat impact
・The temperature of the metal halide lamp reaches 70℃, causing media deformation. However,
since the temperature of the LED UV lamp is the ordinary temperature, the heat-sensitive
substrate which has been difficult to print on is now available.
・The avoidance of the special ventilation installation cost.
■
The improvement of production circumstances.
・The long-life LED UV lamp (approx. 10,000 hours), which does not require maintenances often,
permits the increase in productivity.
Note: The life-time of the metal halide lamp is about 1,000 hours.

■Printable on substrates up to 610mm width and 150mm height
The larger flatbed enables direct print on media with larger size. For example, for an A2 size photo album
with a leather or acrylic cover that contains coated paper or cast-coated paper.

■As for the head gap
Please set head gap between print heads and printing materials at 2mm or under.
When the head gap is set 2mm or higher, ink drops are likely to be changed to mists.
Additionally, reflected light of UV-light is increased and therefore mists would be thickened or cured before
placing on the material. Such condition leads to less-accurate ink dot placement and nozzle clogging.
■Ink mist absorption fan
The printing stability is improved by incorporating the ink mist absorption fan. This fan reduces ink
mist which is likely to be generated when printing on three-dimensional products.

■
The staggered arrangement makes the simultaneous printing possible,
which utilizes the white ink.
As the reverse printing method is adopted, the print speed of using the white
ink only is the same as the print speed of the 2 layer printing, such as “Color to
White” or “White to Color”.
* The reverse printing can be used only in the ink configuration of 4 colors＋White. When 6 colors
in use, the simultaneous printing is not available. 7

■Variable dot
High Quality Print
Newly developed a ball screw type head
conveyance mechanism is adopted.
This mechanism enhances the accuracy
of the ink drop placement onto the
substrate by 50% compared with
conventional machine (UJF-3042)
realizing the more precise printing.

The variable dot, printing in 3 different dot sizes of large,
medium and small, realizes the high image printing with
rich gradations.
The minimum size of 4pl dot expresses the color of the skin
finely, and small characters sharply without granular
appearance.
Also, a higher resolution print mode of 1,800 x 1,800 dpi*
is achieved, resulting in highly precise printing.

*This print mode is available for LH-100 ink only.
LF-140 and LF-200 do not correspond with the mode so far.

White Ink Circulation System：”MCT”
*MCT stands for Mimaki Circulation Technology
Carrying with the white ink circulation system, the settling of pigments in the lines is prevented,
which enables the stable ink supply. The stable ink supply reduces the wasted ink, and leads to
save the cost.
*MCT does not work when the ink is set in 4 colors, or 6 colors.
*The typical ink set
is shown, because
there are a wide variety
of combinations .

■
The nozzle recovery system
Even if the nozzle clogging is not improved by the maintenance function, the continuous
printing operation without losing image quality is possible by using the other normal
nozzles.
10
* 5 nozzles can be registered per 1 nozzle line.
* The nozzle recovery system does not have influence on the printing speed.
* Depending on the conditions of clogged nozzles, this system would not recover such nozzles
