1 Identifier
The card identifier LSXM1SEERBA2 is in the right of the front panel.
2 About the module
The LSXM1SEERBA2 is a high performance compute engine module preinstalled with a Linux
operating system. It is a high performance computing platform that is deeply converged with
networking features and provides high-performance CPUs as well as a large storage space. The
module can meet the requirements of small to medium-sized enterprises for lightweight deployment
of big data applications.

Health LED
Steady green The system is operating correctly.
Flashing green HDM is being initialized.
Flashing amber (0.5 Hz) A predictive alarm has occurred.
Flashing amber (1 Hz) A general alarm has occurred.
Flashing red A severe alarm has occurred.
Off The system is not powered on or is not installed
correctly.
UID button LED
Steady on The UID LED is activated. The UID LED can be activated
by pressing the UID button or from HDM or OM.
Flashing (1 Hz) The system is being managed from HDM or the
firmware is being upgraded.
Flashing (4 Hz) HDM is restarting. To restart HDM, press the UID button
LED for 8 seconds.
Off The UID LED is not activated.

5 Installing and removing the module
CAUTION:
•
Wear a reliably grounded ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves when installing and removing the
module.
•Do not touch the components on the module.
5.1 Installing the module
1. Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
2. Remove the filler panel (if any) from the target slot.
This example installs the module in slot 2 on the switch.
3. Hold the module by the front panel with one hand and support the module bottom with the other.
Slide the module steadily into the slot along the guide rails.
4. When most part of the module is inserted in the slot, pull the ejector levers on the module
outward.
5. Push the module until the positioning pin on the module touches the hole on the chassis.
6. Press the ejector levers inward until the ejector levers touch the panel tightly and the module
seats into the backplane.
7. Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten the captive screws on the module.
8. Press the power on/standby button on the module to start its system. Make sure the switch has
been powered on before you press the button.

5.2 Removing the module
IMPORTANT:
Before removing the module
, press the power on/standby
button on the module for a minimum of 2
seconds until the system power LED is off.

To remove the module:
1. Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the module.
3. Simultaneously open the ejector levers of the module to disengage the module connector from
the backplane.
4. Use one hand to slowly move the module outwards. Supporting the bottom of the module with
the other hand, pull the module out of the slot along the slide rails.
5. Place the removed module on an anti-static workbench or put it in an anti-static bag, with the
component side facing up.
6. If you are not to install a new module, install a filler panel in the slot to ensure good heat
dissipation for the cards in adjacent slots and prevent dust intrusion.
