We would like you to enjoy the many benets
this unit offers, so please take the time to read
this manual carefully. After reading, please
keep this manual in a safe place for future
reference.
Warning:
Before using the air conditioner it should be
left in a upright position for at least 2 hours.
(Technical data on page 10).
Safety instructions
The unit is designed for indoor operations.
Rating: This unit must be connected to a 230
V / 50 Hz earthed outlet. The installation must
be in accordance with regulations of the coun-
try where the unit is used.
If you are in any doubt about the electrical
installation, have it checked and if necessary
modied by a qualied electrician.
• The air conditioner is safe. However, as
with other electrical appliances, use it with
care.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not clean the air conditioner by
spraying it or immersing it in water.
• Do no insert any object into the opening
of the air conditioner.
• Disconnect from the mains before cleaning
the unit or any of its components.
• Never connect to an electrical outlet using
an extension cord. If an outlet is not
available, one should be installed by
a licensed electrician.
• Any service other than regular cleaning or
lter replacement should be performed by
an authorised service representative.
Failure to do so could result in a loss of
waranty.
WARNING Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged
cord or plug. Do not rest the cord over sharp edges.
A damaged supply cord should be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a qualied
person in order to avoid a hazard.

Installation
The air conditioner consists of an indoor
mobile unit and an outdoor unit.
The units are connected to each other by a 3
metre exible tube.
The outdoor unit can be placed on the oor,
e.g. of a balcony, or hung on a wall.
• The maximum distance from the top of the
outdoor unit to the oor is 1.5 m. Distances
greater than this or any tight bends in the
interconnecting tubes may cause problems
with water discharge and unit performance.
To avoid damaging the connection tube, leave
the window open.
Installation of the outdoor unit.
Apply the spacer [16]
to the outdoor unit.
Firmly screw the
bracket [14] to the wall.
Hang the outdoor unit.
Energy saving tips:
• Use the unit in the recommended room size
(see specications).
• Do not locate the air conditioner where
furniture or other objects can obstruct the
airow.
• Keep blinds/curtains closed during the
sunniest part of the day.
• Do not place the outdoor unit in direct
sunlight.
• Close the replace damper and oor and
wall grills so that cool air does not escape
through the chimney or ductwork.
• Keep the lters clean.
• Set the unit to maximum cooling and high-
speed fan initially, then adjust the unit to a
comfortable setting.
• Do not leave the unit on cooling mode when
the outdoor temperature may fall below 18°C.

Operation
ON/OFF
Press ON/OFF button the unit will start to work at the last setting. If the wall socket
is switched off, the unit defaults to the factory setting. To turn the unit off, press the
ON/OFF button again.
Timer
Press the Timer button to set the operating hours (1 to 12 hours, the timer LED will
ligth up). When the set time has elapsed, the unit will turn off automatically. The
display will show the hour(s) you set as you press the button. If the Timer button is not
pressed, the unit will work continuously. By pressing the Timer button without turning
on the unit, you can PRE-SET the time for the unit to work. For example, if you press
the time to ‘2’, the unit will come on automatically after 2 hours.
Mode
Press the Mode button to select the required working mode:
The LED illustrating your selected mode lights up.
AUTO mode
• higher than 23°C, the unit will work in cooling mode.
• higher than 20°C but below or equal to 23°C, the unit will work in ventilation mode.
Indicators of the functions in progress come on at the same time, e.g. and
i.e. cooling with low fan speed.
Fan speed button
Press the fan speed button to choose the fan speed you require, high or low .
The LED will light up at the same time.

If the unit is in mode, it will select the fan speed automatically according to the
ambient temperature (the related LED will light up), at this time the fan speed button is
inoperative.
Temperature selection
Press the or button to select the temperature you desire (ranging
from 18°C to 32°C).
The Display will show the temperature you set as you press the or
button. Otherwise, it will always display the room temperature .
The pre-set room temperature of this unit is higher than 23°C for cooling.
Sleep mode
This mode can only be used when cooling is selected. Press the button. Every
hour the temperature will rise by 1°C, to a maximum of 2°C. After 12 hours the unit will
switch off automatically. Press the button again to cancel sleep mode. In the
sleep mode the set temperature cannot be changed.
Remote control
All the above functions can also be performed with the supplied remote control. This
remote control requires 2 AAA-batteries to operate.
Notices!
• To prolong the unit’s life, after switching off the unit, please wait for 3 minutes before
switching on again.
• In cooling mode the compressor will switch off if the room temperature is LOWER than set.
The fan, however, keeps working at the set level. If the room temperature rises above the
selected level, cooling will resume.
• Do not use this air conditioner in cooling mode when the outdoor air temperature is below 18°C.

Regulating the airow direction
Turn the roller on the air vent to control the air
ow direction of the vertical louvres.
Move the air vent directly to adjust the air ow
direction of the horizontal louvres.
Drainage
The unit is equipped with an automatic
drainage function. The condesed water will be
pumped from the back of the indoor unit to the
outdoor unit.
You may also connect a water tube (dia.
14.5mm) to the discharge hole in the outdoor
unit to channel the water away.
Make sure the water always drains away
freely.
Maintenance
Always unplug the unit from the mains before beginning the cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth
to wipe the body clean. Never use aggressive chemicals, gasoline, detergants, chemically treated
cloths or other cleaning solutions. These could possibly damage the cabinet.
Use a vacuum cleaner or tap the lter lightly to remove loose dust and dirt from the lters and then
rinse the washable lter thoroughly under running water (no hotter than 40°C).
Notice! The carbon lter must be removed before rinsing under running water.
Notice! Never operate the unit without the lters.

Complete drain and storage
Please note - all condensed water must be
drained prior to relocation or storage.
Unplug the unit from the mains.
Place the unit over a drain or a water tray /
container. Remove the water bung from the
bottom of the unit. When water no longer falls,
replace the bung.
When the unit is not in
use, tidy the power cord
away as shown.
Clean or change the lter. On a warm day, turn the unit to ventilation mode for a couple of hours
so that the inside can dry out completely.
It is recommended that the unit be put back into its original carton for storage. Do not stack heavy
objects on top of the unit.
Disconnecting the indoor and outdoor unit
If the indoor unit needs to be disconnected from the
outdoor unit, to place it in a more suitable position,
follow these steps:
Disconnecting
• open the tube connection box [11] situated
at the back of the indoor unit.
• disconnect the connection tube to unit
securing strap [12]
• disconnect the drain tube [C].
• disconnect the electrical cable [A].
• disconnect the refrigerant tubes [B] using
the spanners [15] provided.
The terminals are tted with automatic self-
sealing valves to prevent the gas from leaking.
Loosen the nuts quickly, so the seal is made
promptly.
During the operation take extreme care not to
break the refrigerant tubes.
• cap the terminals with the caps [17]
provided to protect them from dust.
Mount the outdoor unit on the bracket as
describeb on page 5.
Connecting
• pass the connection tube through the hole
(at least dia. 50 mm) if present.
• remove the protection caps (if used
previously).
• reconnect the refrigerant tubes (tighten the
nuts quickly to make a good seal), the drain
tube and the electrical cable.
• close the connection box on the indoor unit.

Never try to repair or dismantle the air conditioner yourself. Incompetent repairs result in loss of waranty and can
endanger the user.
