Assembly and operating instructions

General Instructions

Read these instructions carefully before

installation and use. Keep this manual

for future reference.

The guarantee is only valid if the units

are used in the manner intended by

the manufacturer and in accordance

with the mounting and operating

instructions.

Application area

A compact door heater which heats

the incoming air and gives increased

comfort on the inside. When wall

mounted, the unit acts as a stationary

fan heater.

Protection class: IP20

Operation

Air is drawn in at the top/rear of

the unit and blown out downwards/

outwards.

Applies to door heater 0.6 m

The hot air heats the air that enters

through the opening/door and provides

good comfort.

Installation

The unit is installed horizontally with

the supply air grille facing downwards.

Position as close to the opening as

possible for the best effect.

The unit can be angled using the

enclosed bracket, which is used for

both wall and ceiling mounting. When

mounted on the wall it is possible to

angle the heater up to 30° to give even

heat distribution in the room.

For minimum measurements, see

diagram 4.

1.Fit the bracket on the wall or on the

ceiling.

2.Guide the unit onto the bracket

through the opening at the rear or on

top.

3.The unit is secured by guiding the slot

in the bracket over the screw (PH2)

inside the unit and then tightening

the screw from outside of the unit.

Electrical installation

The unit is designed for permanent

installation and is connected via cable

(1,5 mm²) without plug, at the rear

of the unit. 16 A fuse protection is

required for 3 kW. The installation,

which should be preceded by an

omnipolar switch with a contact

separation of at least 3 mm, should only

be wired by a competent electrician and

in accordance with the latest edition of

IEE wiring regulations.

Start-up (E)

When the unit is used for the ﬁrst time

or after a long period of disuse, smoke

or odour may result from dust or dirt

that has collected on the element. This

is completely normal and disappears

after a short time.

Regulation

and heat selector.

Service, repairs and maintenance

For all service, repair and maintenance

ﬁrst carry out the following:

1.Disconnect the power supply.

2.Loosen the screws on the intake grille

and remove grille. See A, ﬁg. 3.

3.Lift the front. See B, ﬁg. 3.

Maintenance

Since fan motors and other components

are maintenance free, no maintenance

other than regular cleaning is necessary.

The frequency of cleaning can vary

depending on local conditions, but

undertake cleaning at least twice a year.

Inlet and exhaust grilles and impeller

can be vacuum cleaned or wiped using a

dry cloth. Use a brush when vacuuming

to prevent damaging sensitive parts.

Avoid the use of strong alkaline or

acidic cleaning agents.

Overheating

The air curtain unit is equipped with an

overheat protector. If this is deployed

due to overheating, reset as follows:

1.Disconnect the electricity using the

omnipolar switch.

2.Allow the electrical coil to cool.

3.Determine the cause of overheating

and rectify the fault.

Once the power has been disconnected

the unit can be started again.

Troubleshooting

If the fans are not blowing enough,

check the following:

1.Operating power supply to the unit;

check fuses, circuit-breaker, time

switch that starts and stops the unit.

2.That the intake grille is not dirty.

If there is no heat, check the following:

1. That the heat demand exists;

check thermostat settings and actual

temperature.

2. That the overheat protection for the

motors has not been deployed

If the fault cannot be rectiﬁed, please

contact a qualiﬁed service technician.

Residual current circuit breaker (E)

When the installation is protected

by means of a residual current

circuit breaker, which trips when

the appliance is connected, this may

be due to moisture in the heating

element. When an appliance containing

a heater element has not been used

for a long period or stored in a damp

environment, moisture can enter the

element.

This should not be seen as a fault, but

is simply rectiﬁed by connecting the

appliance to the mains supply via a

socket without a safety cut-out, so that

the moisture can be eliminated from

the element. The drying time can vary

from a few hours to a few days. As a

preventive measure, the unit should

occasionally be run for a short time

when it is not being used for extended

periods of time.

Safety

heated products should a residual

current circuit breaker 300 mA for

ﬁre protection be used.

• Keeptheareasaroundtheairintake

and exhaust grilles free from possible

obstructions!

• Duringoperationthesurfacesofthe

unit are hot!

• Theunitmustnotbefullyorpartially

covered with clothing, or similar

materials, as overheating can result

in a ﬁre risk!

• Thisappliancecanbeusedby

children aged from 8 years and

above and persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience

and knowledge if they have been

given supervision or instruction

concerning use of the appliance

in a safe way and understand

the hazards involved. Children

shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall

not be made by children without

supervision.

Champ d’application

Un aérotherme de porte compact qui

chauffe l'air entrant et procure un

confort accru à l'intérieur. Monté au

mur, l'appareil peut servir d'aérotherme

ﬁxe.

Fonctionnement

L'air, aspiré par le haut de l'appareil, est

soufﬂé vers le bas.

Pour l’aérotherme de porte de 0,6 m

L’aérotherme de porte rechauffe l’air qui

pénètre par l’ouverture de la porte et

assure un agréable confort.

Installation

L'appareil est monté horizontalement,

avec la grille de sortie vers le bas.

Pour des performances optimales,

placer

l’appareil aussi près que possible de

l’ouverture.

L'appareil peut être incliné à l'aide de

la console de ﬁxation fournie, à la fois

pour une installation au mur ou au

plafond. En cas de montage mural, il

est possible d'incliner l'appareil jusqu'à

un angle de 30° pour une diffusion de

chaleur homogène dans la pièce.

Pour les mesures minimales, voir le

schéma 4.

1.Accrocher la console de ﬁxation sur le

mur ou au plafond.

2.Guider l'appareil sur la console à

travers l’ouverture située à l’arrière ou

sur le dessus.

3.Pour ﬁxer l’appareil, guider le

logement de la console sur la vis

(PH2) à l’intérieur de l’appareil, puis

serrer la vis à l’extérieur de l’appareil.

Installation électrique

L'appareil est conçu pour une

installation permanente et son

raccordement s'effectue à l'aide d'un

câble (1,5 mm²) sans ﬁche situé à

l'arrière de l'appareil. Une protection

par fusible de 16 A est requise pour

3 kW. L’installation, qui doit être

précédée d’un interrupteur omnipolaire

avec une séparation de contact de 3 mm

au moins, doit être réalisée par un

installateur qualiﬁé, conformément à la

réglementation sur les branchements

électriques en vigueur dans son édition

la plus récente.

Démarrage (E)

Lorsque l'unité sert pour la première

fois, ou suite à une longue période

d'inactivité, de la fumée ou une odeur

résultant de la poussière ou saleté

éventuellement accumulée à l'intérieur

de l'appareil peut se dégager. Ce

phénomène est tout à fait normal et

disparaît rapidement.

ventilateur intégré et un sélecteur de

chaleur.

Entretien et réparations

Opérations initiales pour toute

intervention d'entretien ou de

réparation :

1.Déconnecter l'alimentation électrique.

2.Desserrer les vis de la grille de prise

d’air et retirer la grille. Voir A, ﬁg. 3.

3.Soulever le capot avant. Voir B, ﬁg. 3.

Entretien

Les moteurs du ventilateur et les autres

organes de l'appareil ne nécessitant

aucun entretien, seul un nettoyage

régulier est nécessaire. La fréquence

de nettoyage dépend des conditions du

local, mais un nettoyage s'impose au

moins deux fois par an. Les grilles de

reprise et de sortie d’air et la turbine

peuvent être nettoyées à l'aspirateur,

ou essuyées à l'aide d'un chiffon sec.

Lors du passage de l’aspirateur, utiliser

une brosse aﬁn de ne pas endommager

les pièces fragiles. Ne pas utiliser de

produits de nettoyage très alcalins ou

acides.

Surchauffe

Le rideau d’air est doté d'un dispositif

anti-surchauffe. Si ce dispositif se

déclenche, il convient de le réinitialiser

de la manière suivante :

1.Débrancher l’alimentation électrique

à l’aide de l’interrupteur omnipolaire.

2.Attendre le refroidissement de la

résistance.

3.Déterminer la cause de la surchauffe

et y remédier.

Une fois l’alimentation rétablie,

l’appareil peut être remis en marche.

Dépannage

Si les ventilateurs ne fonctionnent pas,

contrôler les points suivants :

1.Alimentation électrique de l'appareil :

fusibles, disjoncteur, temporisateur

activant et désactivant l'appareil.

2.Propreté de la grille de prise d'air.

Si le chauffage ne fonctionne pas,

contrôler les points suivants : 1.

Demande de chaleur effective :

contrôler le réglage du thermostat et

la température effective.

2. Activation éventuelle des limiteurs de

température des moteurs.

Si le problème persiste, faire appel à un

technicien d'entretien qualiﬁé.

Disjoncteur à courant résiduel (E)

Si l'installation est protégée par un

disjoncteur à courant résiduel, et que

ce dernier se déclenche à la mise sous

tension de l'appareil, le problème peut

être lié à la présence d'humidité dans

l'élément de chauffe. En cas de stockage

prolongé dans un lieu humide, l'élément

de chauffe de l'appareil peut avoir pris

l’humidité.

Ce n'est pas une panne et il est facile d'y

remédier en branchant provisoirement

l'appareil sur le secteur via une prise

sans disjoncteur différentiel, de sorte à

sécher l'élément de chauffe. Le séchage

peut prendre de quelques heures à

quelques jours. À titre préventif, il est

conseillé de faire fonctionner l'appareil

pour une courte durée, de temps à

autre, lorsqu'il n'est pas en service

pendant une période prolongée.
