Solving Operating Problems

Pressing POWER Does Not Turn On Washer

• Is the power switched on at the wall?

• Unplug from wall. Wait 60 seconds, plug back in, turn on and try again.

• Could household power supply be at fault? Try plugging in another appliance in the same power socket.

• Keylock mode may be activated. Try holding down the POWER button for 3 seconds (refer to page 20).

Pressing START/PAUSE Does Not Start the Fill

• Are both hot and cold faucets turned on?

• Are the inlet hose filters blocked? Check both ends of the hoses.

• Is DELAY START set?

Filling Continuously

• Ensure drain hose is located in the standpipe or tub / sink.

• Ensure standpipe or tub / sink is at least 33 1⁄2” (850 mm) high but no more than 95” (2413 mm) high.

• Check that the washer is not siphoning (refer to page 9).

Not Spinning Properly

• Ensure load is not out of balance.

• Check washer is level and does not rock in any direction.

• Ensure the washer does not have suds build up.

• Check that the washer is not siphoning (refer to page 9).

Spin Speed Sounds Slower than Normal

• Clothes are unevenly distributed in the wash basket, your washer has slowed the spin to compensate.

Water Level Low

• Your washer is designed to automatically sense load size and minimize water use, therefore the water level

may look different to your previous washer – this is normal.

Wash Water Temperature is Not Warm

• This unique wash system uses two wash phases. The second phase may be cooler than the first to minimize

energy use. This is normal and will not affect wash performance.

Too Many Soap Suds

• Ensure that you are using a high efficiency (HE) or low suds detergent.

• Try using a little less detergent, especially if garments are only lightly soiled.

Small Puddle of Water Coming from Under Washer

• The detergent dispenser may be blocked.

• The fabric softener dispenser may be blocked or not fitted correctly (refer to page 43).

• Bleach dispenser may be blocked or not fitted correctly (refer to page 43).

• Check washer is level and does not rock in any direction.

• Washer may have been overloaded, causing splash from clothes as washer filled. Try reducing load size or

select BULKY cycle for large, bulky items.

Wash Cycle Time longer than Usual

• If water pressure is low, cycle time will increase due to longer fill times. Ensure that inlet hose filters are not

blocked.

• Check that the washer is not siphoning (refer to page 9).

• Wash cycle time is approximate and may be affected by a number of factors (refer to page 20).

• Constant interruptions to the wash cycle will reset the wash cycle time to a slightly longer time.

• The out of balance automatic recovery setting may be selected (ie Automatic Recovery is ON) and an out of

balance has been detected (refer to page 41).

Adding Water in the Middle of the Wash Increased Wash Volume

• The out of balance automatic recovery setting may be selected (ie Automatic Recovery is ON) and an out of

balance has been detected (refer to page 41).

Small Amount of Water in Basket at End of Cycle

• It is normal for a small amount of water to discharge from the fill nozzle after a wash.

Liquid Remaining in the Softener and/or Bleach Dispenser at End of Cycle.

• Check next time if you wish for softener to be dispensed that the SOFTENER option is selected.

• A small amount of water remaining in the dispenser at the end of the cycle is normal.

• Clean the dispenser (refer to page 43).

• If the dispenser is at MAX level at the completion of the cycle, check for and clear any blockages.

Noises

• Banging – the load is out of balance.

• Continuous beeping or a musical series of beeps (refer to page 45).

If problems persist, contact your Authorized Service Agent (refer to page 53).
