G3Ultra 3-Axis Handheld
Gimbal SETTING Manual
Tips:
The setting software only supports the Windows XP / Windows7 / Windows8 / Windows
8.1 operation system provisionally.
1. Please download the USB Driver and the “FY-G3-SETTING” software on the official
website of Feiyu Tech, then install the “USB Driver”.
Please refer to the following diagram connect the USB data cable with the USB
connecter first.

2. After successful install the USB driver, please refer to the above connection diagram,
connect the USB cable to the USB connector then insert the USB connector to the
computer. Confirm the port number in “Device Manager” on the computer ( For example
COM3. If the port number is more than COM10, please modify to the available number
within COM10).
3. Double click the icon of the software to open the software.

4. The interface of the setting software as follows.
5. Make the connection between the gimbal and the setting software.
(1) Install the camera well firstly. Gimbal place on stationary flat and keep motionless.
Placing attitude please refer to the following picture:
(2) Choose the correct COM number (For example:COM3), baud rate:115200bps
then click on Open button.

(3) Keep the gimbal static. The other terminal (Mini- USB terminal ) of the USB data
cable connect to the function interface on the gimbal and keep it static until current
parameter read out completely.
The gimbal will self-inspection to make a gyroscope initialization when
make the connection with the setting software. So please keep the
gimbal motionless until the software prompt the message “Read
parameters success!”.
(4) The software will display “Connect FY-GIMBAL success!” in the information bar
after connect successfully, then the current parameters of the gimbal will read out
automatically and prompt “Read parameters success!” in the information bar.

6. Operation of attitude calibration.
(1) After connect success and read out the current parameters completely, turn on
the power switch to power supply the gimbal.
(2) Pick up the gimbal, click on Start button, wait for the motors enter the
working state. Use a gradienter as a reference, if the camera has a small angle with the
horizon in pitch or roll angles, please calibrate it to level by clicking on the + or -
button.
(Camera lens toward the front ,click on + of ”Roll” if the camera is left tilt ,otherwise
click on - ; Click on + of “Pitch” if the camera is adown, otherwise click on - .
(3) After completely calibration, click on Save button in this column, the software
will prompt “Save parameters success!” in the information bar.
The Save button in the “Attitude Correction” column only effective
for saving the roll and pitch parameter.

7. Configuration the heading following mode
(1) When work in the following working mode, three following modes can be select
for G3Ultra 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal.
“SLOW”: The max following velocity can be reach 30°/S;
“NORMAL”: The max following velocity can be reach 60°/S;
“FAST”: The max following velocity can be reach 120°/S;
The default mode is “NORMAL”.
(2) Select the desired following mode, click Set button to confirm the modification
and the software will prompt “Set heading Mode success”.
(3) After set up the following mode please click Save button to save the
parameter to the gimbal controller and the software will prompt “Read parameters
success!”.
The Save button in the “Heading following Mode” column only
effective for saving the heading following mode.
8. Click on Close button then close the software, remove the USB cable. The gimbal
can work normally.
Note:
(1) If the gimbal need to make the attitude correction and configure the Heading following
mode, please operation step 6 & step 7 sequential.

(2) If the gimbal only need to configure heading following mode, it don’t need to start the
motor after connect success. Please operate step 7 directly.
(3) The Save button in the Attitude Correction column only effective for the “attitude
correction” parameter saving; The Save button in the Heading following Mode column
only effective for the heading following parameter saving. Please save the setting in each
item after modify.
(4) When saving the parameters the gimbal will execute a enter operation. So please hold
the gimbal for protecting.
