Installing a SIM Card

IG21, IG21R, and IG31R gateways use a SIM card for zero touch provisioning (ZTP) and configuring access

to a carrier.

A gateway has two SIM card slots. You install a SIM card in either slot

To install a SIM card in a gateway, follow these steps:

1. Remove the SIM slots and Reset button cover screw on the side panel (IG21) or the rear panel (IG21R

and IG31R), as shown in Figure 1: Unscrewing the SIM Slots and Reset Button Cover on the IG21, on

2. Pull the SIM slots and Reset button away from the device and rotate it clockwise to expose the SIM slots,

as shown in Figure 3: Exposing the SIM Slots on the IG21, on page 3 or Figure 4: Exposing the SIM

3. Put the SIM card into the SIM card port, as shown in Figure 5: Putting a SIM Card into the IG21, on page

4. Rotate the SIM slots and Reset button cover counterclockwise to its closed position, as shown in Figure

5. Replace and tighten the SIM slots and Reset button cover screw.
