Servicing the VGA Kit 1
Servicing the VGA Kit
The VGA Kit is located on the Dummy CSI Interconnect Board (DSIB) (E) inside the server
drawer. This kit allows the connection of a VGA Cable to the DSIB board.

WARNING
This component is NOT hot-swappable.
Note This intervention is performed with the server drawer in the Servicing Position, as
explained below.

M3 Torx screwdriver

Procedure
1. Unpack the new component on a clean ESD-protected work surface.
2. Open the cabinet front door.
3. Power down the server drawer.
4. Open the cabinet rear door.
5. Disconnect the related cables (rear).
6. Place the Server Drawer in the Servicing Position.
1. From the rear of the cabinet, check that all cables connected to the server drawer are
clearly labeled at both ends. Label any cables that lack identification.
2. Extend the two red cable hanger stop pins and turn 90° to lock them into position.

3. From the front of the cabinet, release the two captive screws securing the server drawer
to the cabinet rack (A).

4. Slowly pull the server drawer forward until the rails are fully extended and locked, taking
care not to snag or loosen connected cables.

7. Unlock/Open the Front Cover.
1. Press the 2 locking studs (A) on each side of the server drawer to unlock the front cover.
2. Raise the front cover to an angle of 45°.

8. Remove the Front Cover.
Slide the raised front cover upward and remove it.

9. Remove the Rear Cover.
1. Slide the rear cover backwards.

2. Lift up and away from the server drawer to remove it.

10. Disconnect the Rear Right Cable Bundle.
mportant Check that all cables are correctly labeled before disconnecting.
The rear right cable bundle comprises the following cables:
•ILB-PDB 3.3V STBY Cable
•ILB-HDX Signal Cable
•PDB_ILB 12V Cable
•PDB_MTB 12V Cable
1. Remove the PCI separator, if required.

2. Disconnect the cables from the boards:
-PDB_ILB 12V Cable (A) from the ILB
-ILB-PDB 3.3V STBY Cable (B) from the ILB
-ILB-HDX Signal Cable (C) from the ILB
-PDB_MTB 12V Cable (D) from the MTB

3. Place the cables outside the server drawer. If necessary, free the cables by unclipping the
cable straps.

11. Disconnect the Rear Left Cable Bundle.
mportant Check that all cables are correctly labeled before disconnecting.
The rear left cable bundle comprises the following cables:
•PDB_MTB 12V Cable
•ILB-PDB 3.3V STBY Cable
•LCP-ILB Mixed Cable
•ILB-HDX Signal Cable
•2 x ILB-HDX SATA Cable
1. Remove the PCI separator, if required.
