SPECIFICATIONS
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The FreeSp ce® 360P/360 is full-r nge environment l loudspe ker intended for b ckground
music nd p ging. There re three versions. The FS360P 70V/100V, 25W version h s n intern l
p ssive equ lizer. The FS360P 4 Ohm, 25W version h s n intern l p ssive equ lizer. The FS360
70V/100V, 25W version requires Bose® FS360 ctive equ lizer to be connected to or loc ted in
the mplifier.
The FreeSp ce 360P/360 c n be inst lled in-ground with pproxim tely one-h lf of the spe ker
exposed bove ground. It c n lso be perm nently secured bove ground on horizont l surf ce
such s deck.

DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES
1. Mount ng Plate Removal
1.1 Remove the four screws (20) th t secure
the mounting pl te (10) to the b se housing
(14).
1.2 Lift off the mounting pl te.
2. Mount ng Plate Replacement
2.1 Align the mounting pl te (10) to the b se
(14). Repl ce the four screws (20) th t secure
the mounting pl te to the b se.
3. Dr ver/Equal zer PCB Removal
Note: For versions without p ssive equ l-
izer, ignore references to the equ lizer PCB.
3.1 Remove the three screws (6) th t secure
the driver protector (4) nd the driver (1) to the
c p housing (13).
3.2 Lift off the driver protector. The equ lizer
PCB is tt ched by screw to the driver
m gnet. Work the driver with tt ched equ l-
izer PCB out of the c p housing.
3.3 Cut the wires s close s possible from the
driver termin l. Remove the screw th t se-
cures the equ lizer PCB to the driver m gnet.
4. Dr ver/Equal zer PCB Replacement
Note: For versions without p ssive equ l-
izer, ignore references to the equ lizer PCB.
4.1 Referring to Figure 6, position the equ l-
izer PCB on the driver nd using the screw
removed in procedure 3.3, tt ch the equ lizer
PCB to the driver (1) m gnet. Att ch the red
wire to the positive (+) driver termin l nd the
bl ck wire to the neg tive (-) driver termin l.
Refer to Figure 1 Wiring Di gr m.
4.2 Work the ssembled driver nd equ lizer
into the c p housing (13). Twist together ny
excess wire to prevent wire buzz.
4.3 Align the driver protector (4), the driver
nd the driver g sket (2) to the c p housing.
Repl ce the three screws (6) th t secure the
driver to the c p housing.
5. Transformer Removal
Note: For tr nsformer versions only.
5.1 To g in sl ck in the wires, perform proce-
dure 3.1 nd 3.2 first.
5.2 Remove the four screws (8) th t secure
the tr nsformer pl te (11) to the c p housing
(13). Lift up the tr nsformer pl te.
5.3 M ke note of the wiring configur tion
nd then remove the wires from the tr ns-
former (3).
5.4 Remove the two nuts (9) th t secure the
tr nsformer to the tr nsformer pl te.
6. Transformer Replacement
Note: For tr nsformer versions only.
6.1 Align the tr nsformer (3) to the tr nsformer
pl te (11) nd repl ce the two nuts (9) th t
secure the tr nsformer to the tr nsformer
pl te.
6.2 Referring to the wiring configur tion notes
t ken in procedure 5.3 or to Figure 1 Wiring
Di gr m, tt ch the wires to the tr nsformer.
6.3 Lower the tr nsformer with tt ched
tr nsformer pl te into the c p housing (13)
nd secure into pl ce with four screws (8).
6.4 Use procedure 4.2 nd 4.3 to repl ce the
driver.

TEST PROCEDURES
1. Phase Check
1.1 Referring to Figure 1, ensure proper wiring
of the loudspe ker.
2. Rub and T ck Test
2.1 Apply 35Vrms, 80Hz sign l to the input
of the loudspe ker.
Note: No extr neous noises such s rubbing,
scr ping or ticking should be he rd. To distin-
guish between norm l suspension noise, rubs
nd ticks, displ ce the cone of the driver with
your finger. If the sound c n be m de to go
w y or get worse, it’s rub or tick nd the
driver should be repl ced. If the noise st ys
the s me, it’s norm l suspension noise nd
will not be he rd with regul r progr m m te-
ri l.
3. A r Leak Test
3.1 Apply (6Vrms for 4 Ohm version)
(35Vrms for tr nsformer version), 80Hz sign l
to the input of the loudspe ker.
3.2 Check for ir le ks round the c binet,
driver, nd tr nsformer pl te. Repl ce ny
g sket th t is found to be defective.
4. Sweep Test
4.1 Apply (6Vrms for 4 Ohm version)
(35Vrms for tr nsformer version), 50Hz sign l
to the input of the loudspe ker.
4.2 Sweep the sign l gener tor from 50Hz to
5kHz. Listen for buzzes, r ttles or extr neous
noises from the driver or intern l p rts. A
whooshing noise from the port round 80Hz is
ccept ble. Repl ce ny driver th t buzzes.
Redress ny wire th t buzzes.
