V2 label
We strongly recommend reinstalling the magnetic guard over the tweeter to protect the
delicate ribbon during the entire process. Please fully read all instructions before
starting.
1 Remove the Tweeter
a) Gently lay the speaker back so the front of the speaker is facing upwards.
b) Using the Phillips head screwdriver, carefully remove the (4) screws from around the
perimeter of the tweeter and set them aside.
c) Lean the speaker forward and carefully remove the tweeter and gaskets from the cabinet.
d) Gently remove each female wire connector from the tweeter’s male terminals. You will need
to gently wiggle the connector to remove it from the terminal. Do not apply too much force or
you will risk damaging the tweeter and/or the connector itself.
2 Remove the Woofer
a) Using the Phillips head screwdriver, carefully remove the (6) screws from around the
perimeter of the woofer and set them aside.
b) Lean the speaker forward and carefully remove the woofer from the cabinet. Sometimes the
woofer might appear to be stuck in the cabinet. This is due to the gasket between the woofer
basket frame and the cabinet itself. When this happens, we recommend inserting one of the
Phillips head screws you just removed into one of the woofer’s mounting holes. Angle the
screw downward (or upward) so that the threads of the screw grip the basket frame and pull on
the screw. If still stuck do this same procedure in a few of the other mounting holes. If you still
can’t get the woofer out, please call us.
c) Once the woofer is out, gently remove each female connector from the woofer’s male
terminals. You will need to gently wiggle the connector to remove it from the terminal. Do not
apply too much force or you will risk damaging the woofer and/or the connector itself.
d) Take note of the woofer gasket.

3 Remove the old crossover
a) Once the tweeter and woofer have been removed, flip the speaker over so it is now laying
face down. Be sure to push the crossover wires back into the cabinet so as to not scratch the
cabinet. We recommend laying the speaker on a soft cloth to protect it.
b) Carefully remove the (4) Phillips head screws from the crossover cup and set these aside.
Note, the crossover cup screws are a different size than the woofer or tweeter mounting screws,
please do not mix them up.
c) After all (4) screws have been removed, gently remove the crossover from the speaker
cabinet. Note the orientation of the crossover. Binding post openings must face upwards
towards the tweeter.
4 Install new crossover
a) Install new V2 crossover into the cabinet taking careful note of the proper orientation.
b) Using the same crossover screws that you previously removed, secure the V2 crossover into
the cabinet. Do not overtighten the screws as you might crack the crossover cup.
5 Install additional damping material
a) Now that the new V2 crossover is properly installed, flip the cabinet back over so that the
front of the speaker is now facing upward towards the ceiling. Grab the woofer and tweeter
crossover wires and position them so that they hang outside the speaker cabinet and out of the
proper cutout holes. Brown/Black wires are for the woofer, Red/Black are for the tweeter.
b) Remove the white damping material from the bag and insert it into the woofer cutout. This
damping material is meant to be directly behind the woofer.
6 Reinstall the woofer
a) Properly align the woofer gasket back into the woofer cutout.
b) Grab the brown and black crossover wires and reconnect the terminals to the woofer.
Important note, these female terminals must be a tight fit on the woofer terminals. It they are
not, remove them from the woofer terminals, gently tighten them down using a needle nose
pliers and reconnect.
c) Place the woofer back into the speaker cabinet ensuring the screw holes are aligned and
then secure it into the cabinet using the same screws you previously removed. Be sure the
screws are tight, but please avoid overtightening.

7 Reinstall the tweeter
a) Grab the red and black crossover wires and reconnect the terminals to the tweeter. Important
note, these female terminals must be a tight fit on the tweeter terminals. It they are not, remove
them from the tweeter terminals, gently tighten them down using a needle nose pliers and
reconnect.
b) Place the tweeter back into the speaker cabinet ensuring the screw holes are aligned and
then secure it into the cabinet using the same screws you previously removed. Be sure the
screws are tight, but please avoid overtightening.
8 Insert the slot port dampeners
a) The black slot port dampeners are a pressure fit and they must be slightly compressed in
order to install into the front slot port. Grab a dampener and then using your index finger, middle
finger and thumb, with both of your hands –gently compress the dampener. Start at one end
and move down towards the other end.
b) Insert the first dampener into the front slot port on the far-left side. If the dampener is too
tight, repeat step a. Do this until it is fully inserted into the slot port.
c) Using the long shaft flat head screwdriver, gently nudge the dampener towards the back of
the cabinet. Do this until you feel the dampener hit the back of the cabinet (it will not move any
further back).
d) Insert the flat head screwdriver into the slot port and nudge the dampener as far left as it will
go. For proper installation, there should be no gaps between the dampener and the side of the
slot port. You do not have to use the flat head screwdriver, anything strong can be used, the dull
side of a kitchen knife works great too, as does a metal putty knife. The idea is to get the
dampener as far to the side as possible, as well as to the back of the cabinet.
e) Grab the other dampener and install into the right side of the slot port, repeating the above
steps a-d.
9 Adhere the V2 product label
a) Place directly above the serial number label.
Congratulations, you are finished, enjoy your new Luna V2!!
